I think all Wii's have Wii sports in the box with the Wii - at least I hope so, I bought a bundle from TRU last week.....

It SAYS that it is available till you try to add it to your cart...then it tells you that it is not available for shipment.

At this point I wouldn't buy a Bundle unless they could have it here before Christmas and lord knows that will NOT happen. Come after Christmas they will be selling them un-bundled.

If you only purchase the Wii hardware system you have all you need to start: a controller, numchuck and the sports games are on the CD (bowling, baseball, golf, boxing). We are going on vacation now so we celebrated our family Christmas last week-end. My DS-15 was shocked and amazed that his not-so-cool Mom scored one of these! Maybe I moved up a little on his "coolness" scale! He has been having way too much fun this week! Even one of his teachers was soooooo jealous! They are comparing notes on what's fun and cool about it and what to get for accessories. My son is already talking about getting the "Wii Play". I think that's the name for it.

Well I took EpcotMatts advice and looked at auctions for Wiis ending tonight that are close to my house...they were still going for $400 plus! STINKS...but that is fine...I made up a cute "Wii Owe You" and put it under the tree. I just finally decided that it has made me far too nutty...and odds are they wouldn't get to play with it on Christmas Day anyways because of the running that we have to do.

Hope that everyone who got one really enjoys it...I will be back out on the HUNT after Christmas. But with that said...even if GameStop is selling them for a BUCK I will go somewhere else!

We did the same thing , i wasn't going to make myself sick over it, like i did for the last month. my kids will be just happy they are getting one sometime.

Well, I got officially sick over it. I spent 4 days dragging my youngest around town. I walked into Walmart by chance just as the last one from their shippment was being sold. The day the Toys R Us's got them in, I was going to head there that day but decided to head back to Walmart hoping they would get a 2nd shippment. Then I heard Toys r us had them at just the time I would have been there! Then that night, the kid working a Circuit City kinda hint hinted -wink winked at me that he thought it might be a good idea to come in the next morning when they opened. So I came home and told my husband that was where I was headed in the morning, he even left late for work over it. Well I couldn't sleep and my baby had me up that morning and I thought at 5:30, I better just go over to Circuit city in case a line started....got there no line, (I am thinking this guy might have just been messing with my head like the jerk manager at EB Games so i am worried I will be disapointed. wii seeker had posted something about unconfirmed rumors of Best Buy having them that day (they were wrong, it was Circuit City) so I drove by there and no line....it is only 5:45 am at this point so I can't sit still, and think, well, maybe the TRU near me didn't put there shippment out yesterday- I go look there. Get there and there are already 2 people in line, so I ask one if they know if TRU put them out yesterday and the woman tells me no, she asked and they didn't. So I stand in line (for 2 cold hours in the rain) and the line grow to be about 20 people by the time they open, and the people inside can see us and I think"well they must have them, because they aren't coming out to tell us they don't" So a manager opens the door at 8 and says "come on in folks" and we are all looking around confused like "where are the vouchers" "are they going to let us just mob to electronics?" and I say 'we are here for the wii's" and the manager says matter of factly "oh we don't have any wii's" I can tell you that that manager got a bit of an earful for letting us stand in the rain that long The dope thought we were eagerly awaiting their opening so we could go shopping! So I jump in my car and call my husband, I tell him to call Cicuit City quick! He calls and calls me back and says "they didn't get them in" so I decide to go to EB Games and wait for the UPS truck, because the kid there has been stringing me along all week....so of course the truck comes and no wii's . At this point I am falling down tired and give up and go to the post ofice, well that just happens to be right next to Circuit City, so I decide to go in there and ask if they think they will get them tomorrow. and as I do the last one is being paid for at the counter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is at like 11:30 . They had them that long!!!!!Noone knew they would so there was no line or run on them. UUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!(moral of the story, never go by what they tell you on the phone because the think nothing of lying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I could have slept until 7:50 and headed over and picked one up, but instead I stood in the rain for 2 hours like a dump sheep in the flock. I don't know why I didn't just go check anyway even after hubby called.

So I have spent the last 2 days being sick and scouring ebay (and I just can't belive how heartless some of these people are) and nothing under $400.
So he will have to get it for his birthday and I am sick over it because this is his last Christmas "believing" and I am dreading the morning when he doesn't find it under the tree.

Kiddos did ok...they understood...guess that they saw $270 in cash under the tree marked to get one let them realize it was serious. I am happy that I didn't "waste" the extra $$ on paying the jacked up eBay prices!

Same here, my kids are fine. It started to get personal with me. I was on a freakin mission and almost ruined what (little) Christmas spirit I had. I know I did the best I could and it just wasn't happening. I'm okay with it now too. Hope all your kids are lovin their wiis! Way to go for those who scored.

Have fun to all who have Wii's. Our teen DS did get one from 'Santa' (DH who stood online at Best Buy for 6 hours) this Christmas. We also bought our DS Wii Zelda and Rapal Fishing.

I am sure by next Spring 2007 - there will be plenty of Wii's to be purchased for all to buy

we gave our kids GC's for either the Xbox 360, Wii, or PS3... they chose the PS3 - which we had wrapped and under our bed.

The graphics on this system are AWESOME! It looks like you are IN a movie... the controllers are also motion-activated - if you move your hand to the right, the character moves to the right! They're loving it!

Just to rub it in a little harder...i just checked my email for the first time since yest afternoon, and a ebayer who I contacted about buying a wii from a bundle he did not sell, had gotten back to me and offered it to me for $320 and pick up 2 miles away from my house! That would have been a good deal yesterday and saved the day....he sent the email straight through email host and not through ebay messages, so I never saw it as I just kept checking ebay messages. UHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGG!! Yet another strike out !

FRUSTRATING! I know I am kinda kicking myself now for not buying the bundle through Walmart and having it delivered this week...people say that they will alow you to return or exchange games that you don't want in the bundle...I just should have bit the bullet...now I am back to SEARCHING!

Reading this thread makes me thankful DS wanted the 360 for Christmas (got and loves) and the Wii for his b'day or next Christmas. He typically wants systems when they first come out, but did not with these! I feel for you all though. Good luck!

I still think I'm glad after a week or so of the searching and worry that I wimped out and went the ebay route. The kids would have been okay yeasterday, I really do think. But, I would never have quit searching or worrying. I count the money spent as a sanity insurance premimum!

Good luck to the still searching group. I really think pretty soon you'll see them being delivered to stores and noo one is waiting in line.

My biggest problem now is I need more controllers LOL. We quickly discovered yesterday that 2 controllers is not enough! I bet those will be even harder to find than the consoles, because those of us that did get them, are finding 4 is more fun.

I never actively tried to get a Wii - just asked when I was near a video game retailer. I still want one and will wait until they're in stock. My 6 yoDS was more interested in legos thank goodness. I was in target this morning and I picked up the Zelda Wii game because it was on sale. I asked when they were getting more and the guy didn't know. He offered me a PS3 which I declined. He said that he couldn't believe how many people didn't want the PS3 but instead would hold out for the wii. I just want mine before April vacation so I can hang tight - maybe the Easter Bunny will get it for me!!!!

My teenage son who didn't think the Wii would be much good is actually now addicted. Although the gift wasn't his, he is playing it non stop and can't believe how good it actually is.
