Since there were rumors of Walmart getting them in...I called a few around me, 2 said they had them that day but they sold already, the other said they had no shippments. So I reasoned that the next day maybe they would have them...so I drove up in the morning and the kid at the counter tells me I just missed them, they had 6 and sold in 20 minutes, and I missed them by a few minutes. I was literally sick. I just can't imagine Christmas morning, when my little boy is looking nervously around the tree and it is not there. It is going to kill me. I know there are more important things to pray about in the world, but if anyone reading this is a praying person, please say a quick prayer for me that I get one for my boy before Christmas. This is a trivial thing in the grand sceme of things I know..but this is probably his last Christmas "believing" and I just want him to get the one thing he asked Santa for.
I am frustrated with the places like EB Games...they keep saying they are expecting them, and every clerk gives me a different story on when the shippments come in...and when I go in ,they say they have none...or check back at 1:30 and I go at 1:25 and they say none left. I hate when I ask and the young kid behind the counter gets all snippy and powerful acting with me, like they have control over something in the world. None of them understand that I will endure their attitudes and just about anything else to give my boy a happy memorable Christmas.
What happened with Amazon? - They said they might sell any unclaimed wii's on the customer vote page....I stayed up most the night refreshing the screen, waiting for them to go on sale....did they ever post them? Why are they playing with my life like this?

I've been contacting sellers about possibly meeting somewhere to avoid the shipping charges & ensuring I'd get it in time. The main reason I'm doing this is that perhaps on auctions ending Friday & Saturday & even Sunday I suppose, the prices may be less because buyers know that at that point it will be impossible to receive it in time for Xmas. You won't be able to get it less than $250, but there's a chance you might get one for under $300. I know this is more than retail, but for all of the aggravation & stress many of us have endured, it may be worth it. Just an idea.

Oh & by the way, Happy Holidays to everyone out there. It's obvious from this thread that there are plenty of very lucky youngsters out there who have some really great, caring parents. Even if you're not able to get a Wii before Monday, the fact that so many of you have gone to great lengths in the attempt to acquire one should all make you feel pretty darn good about yourselves.![]()

They opened at 10 and let one person in at a time. There was about 30 people in line. They required ID and wrote down your address to make sure there was only one per household sold that day. I got home with it shortly after 10 my wife quickly took it from me and wrapped it. I am not allowed to play it until Christmas.
