Any way to get one more night?

We have a Pop Century reservation beginning November 10th. However, we can get get a good deal flying in on the 9th. I have tried modifying our reservation with no luck and there are no on property rooms under $270. I called the reservation line and they were unable to find anything.

I've been checking the site all day, even checking Orbitz just in case.

Is there any other way I could add another day, get a second reservation for the additional day, or even at another resort that isn't 300 for one night?

I considered calling the resort or getting a hold of guest relations or something but I thought I'd ask you guys if there's anything I can do or if I'm just stuck?

Thanks!

Edit: typo

That stinks! Have you tried just booking the single night or are you trying to rebook the whole trip?

Nope. They don’t have the inventory. Your one night rooms that come up is all they have to sell. The higher priced rooms are all that is offered because they know they can move them. If not to you, then others

Yep. I'm trying for a single night anywhere that night and the cheapest room has been $300 after tax.

If I'm stuck with what I have I'll be disappointed but I'll still be happy to be going. Just hate airline pricing. I swear it makes the stock market look boring.

I had something similar & it can really negate any savings you may get from the flight & ultimately might be worth booking original air fare.

In my case, I booked one night off site & booked a one way rental car from MCO to Dolphin hotel (there are several drop points for rental cars around WDW). But in the end, with diligent daily searching, I was able to find a one night available to add on & was able to cancel other hotel & car.

You could stay at the airport hotel and take ME in the next day
I considered doing this. But ME uses the flight information to know when to pick you up. I read somewhere you can just find some flight that arrives about when you want to get on ME and put that erroneous flight number in as your arrival flight.

Do you know if this works?

Yes it does work. We have stayed at La Quinta because they have a free shuttle service. Just catch the shuttle back to the airport in the morning and go over to ME.

I've been on the site for the last 4 hours tonight trying to do something similar. We have a split stay. Oct 4-6 at PORFQ and Oct 6-11 at Beach Club, Club Level. I got a sweet deal on BC for $3,024 staying Sunday the 6th through Friday the 11th with my Passholder discount. I was curious what it would cost to just change our reservation to just BC but it would be an additional $2000 for the 2 nights. PORFQ is $631 for 2 nights so I'm leaving it alone. I cannot justify $1,400 more to change. I also tried just changing our PORFQ to BC for just the 2 nights and the only rooms were the suites at $1900+ a night. It's frustrating.

They don't need a flight number. Just an approximate time you will be getting on the bus.

If it really offers a cost savings, consider booking a hotel near the airport that offers a free shuttle? You can land, shuttle to the hotel, shuttle back on your WDW arrival day and then take DME to your WDW resort.

maybe try better bidding website and check pricline and hotwire mystery hotels you can often get the swan or dolphing for around $200 a night on there . they will get you a tip off of what hotel the are and can normally work it about by matching the resort fees to the dolphin and swans resort fee

Do you need one night or two? Looks like your original Pop reservation doesn't start until the 11th but you are now looking at arriving the 9th?

Try Orbitz, Expedia or Priceline. I could not find a night at Beach club for our first night and found one on Orbotz for 289 with tax.

It's the Saturday of a holiday weekend, so I'm not surprised there is minimal availability and no discounts. But you've gotten some good suggestions, you can 100% schedule a ME ride from the airport without specific flight information (just a pickup time and destination), so booking something close to the airport might work. We just did this and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn near the airport (they also have a free shuttle to and from the airport). Another option would be to pick something close to Disney Springs for that night. You wouldn't be able to use ME to get to the DS hotels, but you could Uber/Lyft and then pick up a bus from DS to your resort the next day (depending on how far you'd have to walk and how much luggage you have with you).

The 11th was a typo. Sorry. My current reservation begins on the 10th. I'm only looking for a single day.
