I love her books. I just picked up her new book "Celeste" it's also my name so I had to get it.:teeth: Anyway, I think it's different from her other series. Anyone else read this book yet?

I used to love her books-in high school, I think I read every one!

I used to love her books years ago, but then she died 15 or so years ago. I didn't like the idea of the books still coming out under her name. I also didn't like that they tried to throw together sequels with what writing they could find around her estate. There were just too many errors in the books and I lost interest. :(

I started reading them after she died so I didn't have anything to compare them to. I'm still trying to get through some of her earlier series from when she was alive.

If you compare the ones that she actually wrote to those she didn't there is such a difference. I'm pretty sure she wrote the entire "Flowers in the Attic" series, and at least most of the "Heaven" series...after that I'm not sure.

I used to enjoy them in high school, but now, sometimes I'll look through them and think, "Wow, what was she thinking?" :bitelip:

I have only read a few of her books. I also lost interest after she passed.

I've read Celeste (as well as all the others) It is pretty good. There is a difference from the earlier stuff before she passed- however I still like all the books.

I never did understand who V.C. Andrews really was- because I heard it was just a pen name and a man was writing all the books, and I never heard anything else about "her death" apart that "she" had "died suddenly." Then I heard that yes, she did exist, there was a V.C. Andrews and THEN a man wrote under the name when she died. How come I have never been able to find a bio or a pic of her anywhere?

Anyway..I did read the "Flowers in the Attic" series and loved it, after that, it all seemed recycled.

My favorite is My Sweet Audrina, it is such a strange story. I think I lost interest after the Heaven series, the stories all started to seem the same.

I stopped reading them after the Dawn series.

If I remember correctly, she was in a Wheelchair with MS, and passed after she wrote the "Flowers" Series, the "estate" found some more manuscripts, and released them under her name...than they put in the "Dawn" series that she had passes, and that a "relative" was writing the books.:o

I use to read them but every story kinda is the same so i just stopped.

Heheh... I used to read them when I was a teen. A couple months ago I saw her latest (I assume) on the shelves and flipped it over to read the storyline. It said something about identical twins... brother and sister. I just about choked laughing, put it back and walked away... lol.

I read them when I was a teenager. A couple posters mentioned how derivative each one was from the last - how right you are. I kept reading through the Dawn series, then lost interest. Those are some seriously messed up books. I can't believe I was allowed to read them at such an impressionable age.

I loved Flowers in the Attic.

But my favorite is My Sweet Audrina. She told haunting tales and I really loved that when I was a teen.

But now all of her stuff is boring and predictable.

I always wanted them to write a series based on my name, Autumn.

Then in one of her series there was a character named Autumn and she had an abortion and tried to kill herself. I was so mad. What a dumb character.

Anyway, her books used to be good. Wish she was still around to write her dark tales.

too true.

i still have a bunch of her books packed away somewhere...if I'm bored in the summer, I'll grab one of the books and sit on the deck and read. I could probably read an entire series (5 books) in a week and a half.

but sooooo predictable...I stopped buying the books years ago...but I still love the 'Flowers' series...the movie sucked horribly, but the books, IMO, are the best written.

luckily now I have more mature tastes. hehehe

O.k. now I feel like a freak!! I swear I just started reading them and I said since my name is Celeste I had to get this new book. I promise to move onto a new author! I hope this post didn't ruin my reputation!!! I swear I'm a cool chick!:cool1:

I used to read her books when I was in high school. Then they all started to be the same. The incestuous relationships grossed me out too much. :crazy2:

I do enjoy V.C. Andrews books, though I haven't read them in a while. One of my favorites of hers is Flowers in the Attic - I even have the movie made based on the book. My mom is also a fan, so I always borrow her's and read them.

I used to read her books! Loved them. After she died, they just weren't the same, so I lost interest.
