Any tips for the O2/Canary Wharf area

We're going to a concert there on Saturday. Any tips on things we should do or not do. And places to eat/drink before or after the concert?

Our hotel is in Canary Wharf, not the most exciting of places but it should be good for the O2. So any tips for that area would be great as well.

theres loads of reasturants in the o2, i love frankie and bennys in there husband fave is the sausage shop , theres also nandos and loads of others there...have fun!
Take a cardi it can get chilly in there in the evenings. x

Whenever we stay in London we have a meal at Chilis at Canary Wharf. The last time we were in London, we took the boat from the O2 to Waterloo Pier. I think it cost about GBP5 per person and took us right by a lot of the famous sights.

If you're going to have a meal before the concert at the O2 then go seriously early or be prepared to queue for ages everywhere! We like to go around 4:30/5ish because it's not so busy then. All the restaurants are great in the O2!

There's a mexican bar/restaurant in the O2 itself so if you like margarita's make a bee-line for it!

If you want to eat before the show make sure you arrive in plenty of time, the wait times/queues are always long. In the past I have booked a table at Gaucho so that we know we have a reservation when we get there. It's a lovely restaurant website here which is pricier than the other chains at the O2, but I don't get out much so it's a treat for us We went there before watching Strictly in February
There is also a chinese buffet which always has tables available which is handy if you do leave it late as being a buffet you don't have to wait for your food either, the food wasn't bad there - pretty good for a buffet.

We ended up at the Chinese buffet, as there were a lot of lines. It was pretty good. Also the Chinese in the UK is different to over here so that was fine for us.
