Any tips for NOT getting wet on SM?

Okay, well, when I was there during MNSSHP '04, I sat in the left side, 3rd row, and got completely soaked. My sticky-up Robert Smith hair...no longer sticky-up (nothing is worse than trying to comb out sticky hair that's ratted and teased and got a full can of hairspray in it). I had to go to the restroom immediately afterward to dry out my hair and wring out my shirt. Weight seemed to be evenly distributed in the log (a mix of kids and adults), and I ducked (which I usually don't do, but I just had a feeling...)

Come to think of it, everyone in the log was drenched. We all got out, looking at each other like, did someone throw extra water on us? The ones wearing costumes were NOT happy.

Well you won't get wet on Space Mountain, I promise you!!

In terms of Splash Mountain, It's a theme park, just get wet! It's fiun! Even wearing jeans you'll dry up within 20 minutes. (10 if it's a blazing hot day)

Part of the fun of SM is getting wet, especially in the hot summer months, otherwise it would just be another boring ride ending up in Zippidi Do Da, but I respect your desires.
You have to take into account though that every third log or so is hit by a water cannon, I think from the right side, as it goes around an outdoor u-turn and nothing short of a poncho will help, if even that
We were lucky enough to get hit once during our 7 rides last month and really enjoyed it, but to each their own
Enjoy the ride!

Don't Ride!!! :rotfl: Just kidding!!!

I have to agree with Badatz about the water cannons. On our trip this past January, they were shut off all week. We decided to ride at sundown on our last evening at the MK, and even though it was a pretty chilly day, they had them turned on. As we rounded the curve in front of the drop, they shot off. DD and DH were in the second row, and I was in the third row by myself. I bent over into the empty seat with my head in my hands and my back to the cannon. What felt like gallons of water hit my back, and I was soaked from the top of my head to my bottom!!!! And I was the only one who got wet!! I had to walk around the rest of the evening soaking wet and freezing, because Spectromagic was about to start and then we wanted to see Wishes for the last time, and it would have been next to impossible to get up Main Street to the Emporium to get new clothes.

If you really don't want to get wet, I recommend a poncho!

Got my poncho, and I'll ask to be on back, left side :thumbsup2

:rotfl: at no telling the CM that you don't want to get wet! Those sneaky CMs :rolleyes1 Got to love them! :)

Thanks, everyone! :)
