Any thoughts on Tusker House for breakfast?

We loved the character breakfast at Tusker House. The food was DELICIOUS! We'll definitely be eating there when we go w/o the kids for our 25th wedding anniversary in December. I can't wait.

We went in September for breakfast and loved it! For those of us that like a healthy alternative, there were a number of items that fit the bill. For the price and the character interaction, you can't beat it IMHO.

Crystal Palace is our favorite character brkfst - this is a must do for us on each trip - we enjoy the open atmosphere of CP, we have good character interaction, and enjoy the buffet especially the puffed french toast! Also we like to schedule an 8:05 adr on a non-emh day - it's nice to take a stroll down a nearly empty main street & makes for good castle pics + we're done with our meal & ready for MK by rope drop! Chef Mickey's & Ohana character brkfsts are also favorites of ours which we usually schedule as well :thumbsup2 Thanks for asking & hope that helps :goodvibes

LOVE THE EARLY MORNING BREAKFAST IDEA! THANK YOU FOR THAT! :woohoo:

We went in July and really enjoyed it too-the food was yummy and my dh loved the juice too!We are going back for fd and my dd picked Chef Mickeys for breakfast and my dh was alittle disappointed because he liked Tusker better. We do late breakfast-like 10-10:30 and the food was fresh and hot.Now my dd said she can't decide because she really liked it there too.I liked the character interaction better at Tusker-and the little dance thingy is cute.

I keep reading about the juice. What's in it?

Pomegranate Orange and Guava..they call it "POG" at Ohana..same stuff..

Upon further review it may be papaya..not pomegranate..

Guess I need to go and try it again.

Oh soooo good.:thumbsup2

And also..we love Tusker House...

Thanks I was kind of worried reading all the treads telling you to get early ADR's. My girls aren't big morning eaters. They normally are hungry around 9-10. :cutie:

We really enjoyed it last time we went.

That's funny! :p Our opinion of TH & CP are exactly opposite. We did both last Oct. TH was great. We thought the character interaction & food were well worth the cost. We'll definitely return! To us, CP fell short of TH in all areas. That was our 2nd time trying it, & I doubt we'll give it a 3rd. FYI, we had an 8:05 am ADR at both. I've read reviews where people who ate at TH later weren't as impressed, but I don't have any personal experience with that.

I love all the great reviews of the Donald Breakfast we are trying it for the first time May 11 at 9:15am.My 4 yr old first time to Disney and he LOVES Donald...Good to hear about the food.

Tusker House breakfast is a great character meal.

Food is excellent as is the atmosphere and character interaction.

I was there last September with my mum (again, no little ones) and we absolutely loved it. It was one of our very favourite meals.

The food was great, and the characters spent enough time with us for photo's - which was all we wanted.

Our reservation was for 10:30 (I think the park opened at 9). This gave us heaps of time to do Everest and the Safari and have a bit of a look around, as it was our first time at AK - it worked our perfectly.

I will definitely be going back during my solo trip this year.

Just curious if anyone did an 8:00am or 8:15 am for breakfast which enabled you to be by the safari for opening at 9:00am?

That is my goal. But want to make sure you can eat in the hour and be there when the safari opens.

Im wondering the same thing. We have a rez for 815am and were planning on going straight to the safari after.

One of our favorites - we always try to do it first thing before the park even opens - just make sure and have your confirmation number! Ask for Neil as your server - he is the best waiter in all of WDW - we had to make a trip back to Animal Kingdom to see him year before last because he was off the day we were there!!!!

We had an 8:05 am adr last year. We were finished by 8:40-8:45 in plenty of time for rope drop. Be aware, it's not as big of an advantage as you may think - because the cms from the AK entrance walk back the people from the front gate about 5-10 minutes prior to rope drop. So you won't have a head start on the people from the front gate, but at least you should be at or near the front of the crowd when they drop the rope.

Last year I left breakfast about a half hour before finishing and got KS fast passes for the whole group (12 of us)..when we were finished eating, it was time for us to use our fast passes..worked perfectly and nobody felt rushed through the meal...

We had an 8:05 ADR, but were late, due to bussing issues. We were probably seated around 8:20. (We chose to skip the picture outside.) After breakfast, my DS & his GF went straight to EE to get fast passes, while my DH & I finished our drinks & paid. They were able to get the FPs, ride EE standby, then meet us at KS before the link backed up. You shouldn't have a problem riding KS, before the line builds.
