Any solos and/or introverts try Cinderella's Royal Table?

I did it! I booked my solo Disney World trip for late October. Then it dawned on me that this was right before Halloween but oh well, it is done. Crowds or no crowds, I am going! Going solo to WDW for the first time can be a little daunting, especially being an introvert, so I am planning ahead to be less stressed when there. Booking some dining is among those pre-planning things I am doing. Some were easy choices, like Tokyo Dining in EPCOT. I was there for my birthday with my partner back in March of 2011 (he refuses to go to Disney this time). Also, an introvert in ‘Japan’: a match made in heaven! But some other choices were not as easy.

I went back and forth for days as to whether to take the plunge and book a table at Cinderella's Royal Table. The reason I went back and forth was because all I could imagine when thinking of this place was a herd of magic-wand-waving screaming children (and parents). On the other hand, being there alone, I would not mind Disney characters stopping by to say hello when they see me all alone -- I heard they do that. I am one of those introverts that does wonderfully one-on-one, but the group experience can leave me exhausted for days. After much trepidation I decided to do it, but the available tables were really late. Then I figured not many parents are going to want to feed their kids at 11 PM, so that may be a plus. If they do, I am in trouble. Those kids are NOT going to be happy!

Has anyone gone to eat there solo? Any introverts try this? Will I regret this for the rest of my life?

I want for my last solo trip and really enjoyed it. Food and service was great and the princesses were so-so but that can be the same for any character meet and greet. I always feel slightly awkward with one on one interactions (at least without a glass of wine)

Eating in the castle is great and you seem to be mentally preparing for that chance of there being tired/cranky kids. The only very late in park ADR I had was at BOG and there weren't any kids in there but that could just be an off night.

Thanks!! I hear you about the wine! Being an introvert and headed to WDW alone, especially eating at Cinderella's Royal Table alone, there will probably be a little wine involved -- though one glass and I pretty much pass out. I had seen people posting horrible stuff about this place, so I was a bit worried. I am glad you feel different and it makes me more comfortable with having decided to book it.
