Prego Sandy! Between the photobucket thing and hand cramps from typing out that freaking url I managed to get a pic of me posted for all to see and drool over. You'll have to forgive the lack of a smile....my photographer caught me half way there

Since it worked for me...anyone can do it....well...I don't mean 'do it'....well unless they WANT to 'do it' but that's a discussion for antoher time

Obviously it's wrong, but it's sort of par for the course when dealing with internet forums. There could be plenty of people out there gaining info on you, yet you may not know anything about them at all.

For all this board knows, I could be a 13 yr old kid posing as a 30 yr old balding uber-geek in order to bolster his own ego (why any 13 yr old would pose as me bogles the mind?)

All I'm saying that while parents caution children to be cautious on the internet, adults need to do the same (which it sounds like CinRell did) Remember that pontentially 100,000's of people are reading these messages ... so don't everyone get nervous or anything

Hi all,

I am still on this thread and even posted my picture after being asked to by several people even though I am dating someone. Mind you, I did say dating, not living with, engaged, married or even discussing futures beyond what I can see on the horizon. I am not actively 'looking' for anyone now, but who knows what today, tomorrow or next week will bring.

I have said it again and again, not every two people who date are meant to be. Dating can be an exploration, it can be simply seeing if the person you think is hot is more than that under the surface or hell...it can be just for physical pleasure. You may end up with a lifelong friend but not a lover or, if it's meant to be, THE ONE. Right now, I'm enjoying meeting new FRIENDS on here who share a love of DISNEY. If that ever becomes wrong...well then I'll sign off the thread.

I guess a few people on here send PM's out when it is perceived that they shouldn't. Are they hoping the grass is greener? Maybe. Are they simply giving a compliment to another person? Maybe. Who knows what lurks in the minds of men (and women).

And there are several people on here with sig others.. they've told us.. I just don't like when someone PMs me asking for more photos.. I don't see a point, I guess, if they're happily on their way to engagement.

Maybe I"m just sensitive to it as I"ve been cheated on by every man I've dated.

Well, it makes me absolutely sick... I know that this is the internet, and you can't trust 99% of what you read or see, but people like that would be/have been like that with or without the internet. Bleh....

Cinrell..ahhh the old "do you have any more pics " line....I used to talk alot on line a couple years ago but the amount of married men, involved men on here searching for us single women amazes me,lol..
And when they ask for "any more pics" I can guarantee he wasn't asking for G rated ones.
Men like that actually make me laugh. I'm no man's second choice, will gladly wait for my guy, wherever he is. Not had any luck on here, on Dismates, but glad others have.
I will just enjoy reading their success stories and maybe someday I can add mine to it too.

Sitting here this evening reading the past several posts, I feel like my decaf needs more than coffee in it at this point. As a member of the male sex, I must admit to being black & blue from all the male-bashing. Yes, there are men that are not honest on the Internet, but there are many women who are equally as dishonest.

I once met a woman through a non-Disney dating service. After what I thought were a couple of very nice dates, I called her to set-up another date and her response was..."no, thank you I am moviing in with my boyfriend this weekend." This was the first time that I had heard about the boyfriend. Imagine my surprise and disappointment.

The common theme that I have heard from both men and women who have been caught being less than faithful with their primary partner, was that the Internet made them feel like a "kid in the candy store" with all the attention they were getting that they weren't getting through normal dating avenues.

Now while I will admit that one must be careful when getting into a new dating relationship, Internet or non-Internet based, let's not get so paranoid that we avoid dating altogether. I have met far more women who want to date, but are afraid of relationships because one of the last men she dated did her wrong, than I have met dishonest women. If I continue to get penalized by women who have had a disappointing, hurtful, dating relationship in the past I may become like Professor Henry Higgins (My Fair Lady), "a confirmed old bachelor."

well i've found a lot of what has been recently said is quite true from the ladies...but found what Dave had to say has been refreshing as well.... not all men are jerks for sure but I've certainly had some bad experiences from on line dating myself to the point I'm about reay to give up on it....For now I'm just sitting back and watching the "world on line" go by...and will enjoy my SOLO trips to the WORLD...good luck to you all! I look at his posts, because I remember CINRELL writing that's what some guy wrote her.
Sure enough, he's asking about something with his trip where he and his GF are going??????
Shame on him...
But I have to warn other single females on the board....
Please be careful when answering emails from men you don't know.
I'm glad that the DIS boards has the ability to see threads people have answered to.
I'm going to stick with getting to know men I meet face to face, by chance meeting, through friends and through my travels in my business.
This one has scared me. But it's ok, just made me appreciate the men on here who are honest, and that I have made friends with over the last months.
