Of course! A 34 yo Disney male here. Been one since I was knee-high to Jimminy Cricket!

Long time IT guy thats from Raleigh, NC. Single, never been married and no kids (that I know of right now).

I will be at the contemporary from May 13th to the 19th for part of a business trip/mini-vacation. Unfortunately I will miss the mini-DisMEET on the 10th.

21, Southern Wi & Northern IL area, I'm somewhere around a 9.5 on the Disney scale. I actually worked at Disney. :)

Coasteraddict,

Thanks a lot! I am pretty used to chatrooms, so that isn't the problem. About the time zone... well, after i'm back from WDW I might try the chat once. before I leave, I really don't have time.

SInce this is a last minute trip, I don't have summer clothes, so I need to do shopping before Monday!!! And Saturday/ Sunday is "open day" at my golf club, and I'm taking some friends for an initiation and so... no time to chat (except Disboarding at work, lol!)

Hi boys and girls!

I wanted to wish the best to all of you who will be gathering next month. I'm sure it will be just swell and lots of new friendships will be made. I'll be suffering through my own vacation in Austria and Switzerland while you are exploring the magic. Try to leave a bit of it for those of us who won't be able to make the voyage home until later in the year :)

Hugs for those that want them!

Bill

Okay I'll quit lurking and jump in. 37 yr old Disney female from Houston. I have 2 beautiful daughters. Recently signed up on Dismates haven't been able to make it to chat - hopefully soon. I'm a 10 on things Disney. Looking for someone who doesn't think I'm completely mental for loving all things Disney. Planning a Dec 16-23 trip - love the World around the holidays.

Coasteraddict.. no Cedar Point on your trip list? for SHAME!!
Well, CinRell, if you're talking about the logo in my sig, *last* year's road trip was to California, so Cedar Point was a bit out of the way.

For the record:
Coaster Road Trip '03
King's Dominion
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Six Flags America
Hersheypark
Dorney Park
Six Flags Great Adventure

Coaster Road Trip '04
Geauga Lake
King's Island
Cedar Point

Coaster Road Trip '05
Great America
Disneyland
California Adventure
Knott's Berry Farm
Magic Mountain
Universal Studios Hollywood
Marine World

Coaster Road Trip '06--East Coasters again, itinerary not set...taking suggestions!

I just can't get to all of them every year, much as I'd like to... :moped:

So, what is the best coaster you have done? Heard Cedar Point is pretty good. Have seen Dorney from the highway but never time to stop. And though it is pretty close never went to Great Adventure. Did go to Lake Compounce, ever been there? Isn't there a Six Flags somewhere in MA?

Hi Ahoff,
The "best" coaster is usually the one I've just ridden, which in this case is E:E. Seriously, I really like Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) and Boulder Dash, which is at Lake Compounce (so, yes, I've been there. :thumbsup2: ) If you're looking for a full day of coasters it's hard to beat Cedar Point, and I'm really looking forward to the new ones at 6flags in NJ.

CP is the roller coaster capitol though.. breaking tons of records as you know... I live less than an hour from there and usually get a seasons pass. If you're headed that way this year let me know... I just might ride a coaster or two with ya;)

Hi! :wave2: I have not been able to read all the messages on this thread, but wanted to jump in and say hello. I am a 36 year old female in Western North Carolina. Heading down to Disney around the 9th of December with parents and brother, but would love to meet other singles since my family tends to go their own way when we get there. We are staying at the beach club villas this year and I can't wait! We stayed at the Yacht club 2 years ago and I will never leave the Boardwalk/EPCOT resorts again...it is the best place to stay! I fell in love with Jellyrolls and look forward to a visit there again since I get to stay 7 full days this year and not the normal 4 we ususally do. I Can't wait!!!!! :cool1:

Sorry ladies, I tried converting my 27 year old brother into a Disney fanatic but it didn't work. My upcoming trip I have to work on my DBF but that should be easy, he's always lived a very simple life and is impressed with almost everything (i.e. we're going camping this weekend and he said we're going to have to pick out some good sticks to roast marshmallows on and I told him I'm just going to bring our marshmallow sticks from home - the metal ones- and he was in awe that there was such a thing. He can't wait to see them, so I think Disney's in the bag) ;)

I was at the Lake for a WPLR promo a few years ago, and being a weekday while school was still in session it was fairly uncrowded so Boulderdash was easy to ride over and over with no wait. I would like to get to Cedar Point one of these days. Being a drag racing fan I want to go on TTD. Supposed to be one of the fastest and highest. Or was when it was built. Looking forward to EE in 18 days!

Neverlandclub your DBF sounds adorable:) I'm sure Disney will blow him away:)
Bummer on the brother tho;)

Dear Posters... do I smell a Cedar Point meet in the future?:)! :bounce:

I live in MI and my sons and I go to Cedar Point alot in the season. Top Thrill Dragster , Ahoff, is AWESOME, when it's running. I have to say, I've never seen such problems with a coaster. Some days it is running, others it is shot out and can't seem to get over the hill. It is in incredible ride though. It lasts only 18 seconds, and sometimes the wait is 2 plus hours. Thrilling ride though, and so is Millineum Force, that's our favorite, along with Wicked Twister. If anyone sets up a Cedar Point meet, count me in! It's only a 6 hour drive for me and well worth it!

Yes, TT dragster is *way* cool. There's a new one like it in NJ that's even taller. Don't know if it's any more reliable. It seems like TTD is shut down more often that it's running. I waited two hours at the beginning of the day for them to get it going, they sent two cars with people through, then had one come back, tweaked it for another 1/2 hour, I did get a ride...when I looked an hour or so later it was closed again.

I'm not heading for Cedar Point *this* year unless I win the lottery or get some other unexpected windfall. It is on the drawing board for next year, I'll keep you posted.
