Any Single Disney Men Out There?

So are available for rent? This will be a new one for me also. I've dated men with kids before, but never has gotten to this point. I'm sure the vacation will be different with the kids, but looking forward to the experience.

I wish...If I had enough money and vacation time I would be in the world every chance I get.

But you could always try what my Aunt and Uncle did...if you have a niece or nephew or even younger cousin, old enough to sit for you...you could always bring them along...and the kids would have someone more their "own" age to have some fun with. Not that you and your BF aren't fun..but you know what I mean. :)

Boy you guys have been busy this morning. I'm running my reports now so I have time to check up on the Dis.

-If someone wants a Disney wedding getting married at WDW, but not in their chapel, could be a worth checking out.

-I've decided that if I get married again I'm putting my money into the honeymoon instead of the wedding itself. So it'll be intimate wedding in vegas, night in a very nice room, fly to Orlando and spend several days at WDW, then finish off with a Disney Cruise. I think that should create some pretty good memories. :thumbsup2

-As far as getting crushes. I think that can happen anywhere. I can't say I've had any online yet though. :) Anyone have a crush on me? Don't worry you can tell me I'll keep it a secret. :teeth: Hmmmm, a dirty little secret? Good song.

I know exactly what you mean. That's definitely something to keep in the back of my mind. Don't know where we'll be staying yet. It's possible we'll go off-site to one of those vacation homes so that we have a number of bedrooms and bathrooms (makes it a lot easier than one or two hotel rooms). When my parents and 2 nieces (10 and 12) went in November 2005 we rented a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom pool home and it was wonderful. I would much rather stay on-site, but getting that site suite/villa is a bit out of my price range.

We have asked each other about favorite romantic spots, favorite restaurants, and favorite resorts.

So now my question is where is your favorite spot to have a drink at the end of the day?

And a follow-up question, if you were to meet someone for the first time, romantically :lovestruc , for a drink, where would you meet?
Epcot: Sitting next to the water in Mexico watching Illuminations with a Margarita in hand. This has become sort of routine for me when I am at WDW. It's such a relaxing way to end the day at the parks and unwind.

I know a few people who have stayed off site and rented...(of course those people ended up buying DVC)...becuse of similar situations. They tell me that some of these places are really beautiful...to the point you don't want to leave.

I've never stayed anywhere other then on property. POFQ is my favorite. But I can imagine that multiple rooms can get very expensive.

You will have to let us know how the trip went. :)

The home we rented last November was absolutely gorgeous. I would have no problem living there. The rooms were huge and there was a private pool right outside the living room. It was about 10 minutes from the maingate of Disney, which wasn't bad. I would rent again in a second. I love staying on-site, but there are other benefits of staying off-site - like being able to go somewhere outside of Disney to eat, shop, etc.

The trip won't be until next July, but I can't wait already!!!!

I had to have my 15 year old kitty put to sleep this saturday:(

RIP my sweet PD... mommy misses you so much. I'm so so sorry...

I go in 43 day....not that I am counting or anything  ...If you can believe this...I actually started packing... :rotfl: I figured I am not going to need most of my summer clothes (even though its gonna be in the mid 80's here today) so i pulled them from the laundry and put them in my suitcase. :)

I am so jealous!! I was supposed to be going on the 7-day land and sea cruise this December with my mom, but she has been having some serious health issues so we had to cancel. I can't let myself start parking until about a week or two before the vacation or I'll go crazy looking at my suitcase sitting there. I've never gone to Disney with a significant other ( ), only ever my family, so this trip is going to be very different, but hopefully the best trip yet.

My sympathies. I had to put my 13 year old cat to sleep about 8 years ago - hardest darn thing I've ever had to do. :

I'm soooo sorry. I lost my "Briar" last year. He was 7.

CinRell, I'm sorry! I went through this in January -- it hurts so much!

Thanks, Guys.. it was not even 2 years ago I had to put my Rudy to sleep... this happened too soon:( My kitties are my babies. The house is so quiet now.. first time in my life I"ve had NO pet.

There are people that don't understand how important pets are to other people. Especially if you live alone. My cat was my constant companion, always was on my lap, at my feet, sleeping at the foot of my bed, etc. The day I had to have her put to sleep was horrible. I cried for a week straight. People thought I was crazy. When you've had the cat for so long (me - 13 years), it's like losing a part of your life.

CinRell,

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. I know this is heartbreaking. I had to put my kitty, Boots, asleep last November. He was 11 and had cancer. It was awful. I had to do it the same day I was leaving for WDW. I was grateful that I had something to take my mind off of it or I would have been crying for days.

My DD15 bought a blown glass figure that looked just like him in Mexico in Epcot. She gave it to me for Xmas. I opened it and just started crying. It was the best present I got.

I can tell you that if you are NOT a DVC owner staying at the one, two or grand villas can be very expensive. A studio at OKW off season is $294-$435 a night. I can reserve it with my DVC points same season at (depending on the night) somewhere around $80-$200. A one bedroom, two bedroom and grand villas go up from there.

You can rent points on the disboards DVC page for as little as $10 a point. A full 7 nights in a studio this time of year is 80 points 0r $800 dollars. This is OKW but VWL would only be $1040.

If you can't afford to buy into DVC, consider renting points. It's a great option!
