Any Rumors on Magic Band Testing.

From what I am reading FP+ will work great for some and not for others, depending on your vacationing style. Personally, if FP- disappears altogether, I will be screwed.

Not only do I not care for the idea of planning my rides 60 days out but most of the time I don't know I am going to WDW until about two weeks before travel.

I am an AP and I fly for free so I pop down do WDW 6-8 times a year. But, since I am flying standby and don't want to pay for a hotel room until I am sure I will make the flight, I literally make my hotel and ME reservations as I am walking on the plane.

I may get lucky and find some FP+ here and there as others rearrange their itineraries but it won't be my prime choice times.

Add me to the list of people who believe that Disney is doing more and more to cater to the once in a lifers and neglecting the regulars.

Used magic bands on my trip in August...loved every minute of it! My suggestion is use the iPad kiosks they have set up to set your fast pass...worked far better then the app was.

Disney sent me a review form as a tester of the magic bands and I stated that in the future guest should be allowed 5 fast pass selections a day for one park ( if you have a one day park pass) or the option of 3 fast pass for one park and another 2 fast pass for another park ( for a park hopper pass ). Just FYI I was able to change fast pass selections and times my entire trips. Once I was able change times while standing at the attraction kiosk.

Most guests with reservations beginning on or after January 5th have received a Mickey icon thumb drive explaining MyMagic+ along with a customized booklet for their resort stay. We received ours in late November for our February stay at AoA.
All we got for our December stay at YC were magic bands... No flash drive, book, etc. I was also under the impression that I would get to rate the new system. I haven't heard a peep since I've been home. While there and trying to use My Disney Experience on the cell phone (fail) it would occasionally ask me to rate it. I honestly didn't have enough battery left for that!

I went in October with aGroup of Developmentally Disabled and they mangaed the Magic Bands as well or better than I did . Yes there were many times when I did not get the "GREEN" light and had to be checked in by a CM , but in all honestty I think it was due to a sore finger that I used to be my finger print , without thinking and it wasn't giving a good read , When I went in December it was okay . However when it came to FP+ in October NO problems in December it was awful !! So yes there are kinks , but I absolutely LOVED them as a room key . First time ever I didn't demagnetize the card and have to get a new one !!!
