Do you already have a contract? Is this an add-on for you? I've failed ROFR twice in the past four weeks so let's hope there's lots of pixie dust to go around here . We're all waiting and waiting and waiting.......we enjoy the company on this board though .

Amybeth68....It was really funny....Jaki was talking about how she hasn't had much trouble getting contracts to pass "except for this poor one person". I knew immediately who she was talking about!!!!

Here's wishing you all the BEST!!!! I SOO hope you pass...ROFR really stinks...I cannot imagine having to go through 3 times to snag one contract!!!

I'm on the countdown today deciding whether to buy in at SSR or try for a resale. The $10 per point discount to make our tiny 10% down payment 20% is very attractive, plus the extra 12 years at SSR is nice too, although I'm not sure if we will be able to do much at the ages of 98 and 97!

May I ask....are any of you financing your purchases or are they cash? If you are financing, where can you find a good rate? Our home equity isn't available to us right now and there is no way to pay cash.

We got a great rate on Disney Visa (3.99% for the life of the loan), or you can go thru www.tammacfinancial.com. Their rate is the same as DVC, but I think their term (#of years for the loan) is shorter.

What is the 3.99 Disney Visa thing?? You mentioned for the life of loan. Is this a loan through the Disney Visa? Any info would be appreciated. We are about to pay cash but it is going to stretch us thin and I would rather finance and payback over a little longer period.

They were actually convenience checks and if like mine expire the end of Sept. I also received ones for 4.99 which expire the end of Nov. Both are fixed rated for the life of the loan.

Just don't miss a payment on ANY of your bills or it will be increased.

Wow, that's a great rate! My husband got a pre-approval for the Disney Visa last week so he's going to activate it tonight. Hopefully we can get the same deal. I know we can get 0% for 12 months, so we'll put the down payment on it. We're going to take the financing through DVC, unless those convenience checks "conveniently" come through! I made the call tonight for 175 points at SSR. Next we'll be looking for a resale to add on!

Beca Pixie Dust all around and welcome aboard, Isn't Jaki great. We almost bought her 175 at VWL but DW wanted BCV something awful.

Yeah I did the same thing it was Chase Visa but they have 2.99% locked on convenience checks posted prior to 9/30. I figure I'll deposit it now and if there just not enough pixie dust , after all you multiple timers out there get first call on the pixie dust. Then the money will wait around until we find the right Contract

By the way Contracts signed today but no word we were submitted to ROFR yet, How did you guys find out what date it was submitted?

I still don't know what date ours was sent for ROFR?

It was around the time that Hurricane Frances was coming in...so I thought it was delayed a while. I would bet that we'll be at 2 weeks on Tuesday of next week...but I'm not really sure?!
