Hello. I am a student with one class left before I can apply to my local universitys nursing program. I was just curious to see how many fellow Disers are RNs or RNs2 be like me. :space:

I have been an RN for 29 years this month. :teeth:

There are quite a few of us here and I bet tomorrow you will get some more replies. Just keep bumping yourself up, no shame in that.

(raises hand cautiously)

Hi I am an RN too! I have been in nursing for 28 yrs. First as an LPN then as an RN. I have been an RN for 22 yrs now. Wow, how the time flies!! I am currently working in a very busy GI/Endoscopy department. Good luck to all of you in nursing school!! I remember those days!!:wave2:

RN checking in; I have been working in the OR since I graduated many many years ago.

I've been a RN for 10 years. I work contingent in a very busy CCU.

Another RN here  for just a little over a year! :)

:thewave: :thewave: Good to see so many RNs and students out there. I probably won't start a program here until next year since competition is fierce. So many people just decided they want to be nurses ever since the economy tanked, especially here. You have people from the high-tech field switching careers. Good for us since we really need nurses but it makes getting into a program really really hard.

Kind of OT here, but I'd like to thank all of you who are nurses because you guys are angels and wonderful human beings. Being a nurse is such a difficult and demanding job and I know I could never have the patience or even the tenacity to do it.

On with your regularly scheduled topic.:teeth:
