I have no fear of rollercoasters or dark rides, but I hate the feeling of free falling. DD5 wants to try tower of terror next year and I don't want to discourage her cause she is such a scaredy kid, and I'm proud of her.... but I don't even know if I want to go with her, lol!

Any rides YOU as the parent/adult won't go on?

Astro Orbitor.

DH & I rode it together a few years ago and I was terrorfied, normally heights doesn't bother me its more that feeling like you are going to be thrown from the rocket and fall to a horrible death thing that got me. We don't even give our kids the option to ride it b/c neither of us will ride with them.

Every trip I swear I'm not going on ToT again, yet peer pressure sucks me in & I do it - and I'm TERRIFIED & screaming bloody murder the entire ride! I scream so much that I lose my voice. My friends even bought me the pic they take that they sell you - because I look absolutely scared to death in it!

I agree 100%! I think it's the only ride at WDW that I don't quite feel safe on even though I know I am :confused3 I just always have the feeling I'm going to fly out, and if you're sat the back the person you're with can crush your leg against the side of the car - not a pleasant experience!

I have to admit that Haunted Mansion scares me at times, especially when I got stuck in the graveyard scene this year. Dinosaur is also pretty terrifying at times, as well as some of the introduction part of ToT, where you go up and hear the story.

As many times as I have ridden ToT, I still get this super scary feeling in my stomach - but I ToTally love the ride! I think for me it's more the anticipation of what it's going to do next. Dinosaur is another one I am very scared on - but ride it each trip. The feeling of relief when you finally make it off is great!! LOL

It's not free-fall -- you're actually being pulled down faster than gravity could do it.

Does that help? ;)

Mission Space - never even been inside but I hear its close and I'm claustrophobic. Let's ride TT again! The new 'design your own roller coaster' in Innoventions doesn't look like its my cup of tea for the same reason.

Speaking of tea... the teacups don't scare me but I don't like 'em.

I AM afraid of the Tomorrowland Speedway-- Don't hit me! Don't hit me!

Lots of rides actually. I'm a total baby when it comes to rides. Though... it all goes back to various ride tramas I had when I was little that I never got over.

For example, I refused to ride Malstrom in Norway. When I was young, my mother took me on a ride at another theme park that was in a boat, just like the one on Malstrom that first took you through scary scenes of trolls. Things like trolls eating one another, scary stuff! About a year later was my first trip to Disney and Malstrom was just to much a reminder of the other ride and I freaked out. Have not been on it since. Won't go on it again. Heck, that had to be almost 20 years ago and I can barely walk through the giftshop in Norway with all the Trolls and stuff without having a bit of a panic attack let alone get on the ride.

I also hate dark rides were things are just meant to frighten you. Which goes back to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the original Snow White ride before they made it less frightening. Anything in the dark, where you can't see what is coming next, or when something is gonna pop out at you... no thanks! Carries over to today cus I won't go on Dinosaur or Space Mountain.

That's the one ride at WDW that scares me! :scared1: and the drop on Splash Mountain

Tower of Terror scares me more than anything. It's not even the actual drops, it's all of the other stuff that leads up to it. The anticipation is what's so scary.

Dinosaur lol. I don't think you could pay me enough to go on that one! My mom made fun of me on our trip and went on it with my hubby, since I was too chicken. I barred them from taking my 4yo daughter on it and they made fun of me even more lol. I said ya'll go on it first and if you think it's ok you can take her a second time. Afterwards my mom said her eyes were closed like 75% of the time and she could totally understand why I was so terrifed. Needless to say they didn't ride it again!

I am not a big ride person - I hate drops - HATE them. My mom never went on rides and had me scared to death as a kid to go on anything higher than the merry go round horses. So, I am determined not to pass that on to my son so my deal with him is - I will go on the ride with him the first time (within reason - I am NOT doing loopy coasters ever). If he likes it, he's daddy's ride partner after that. And since I scream bloody murder, I won't even sit next to him. So I went on TOT last year (went on once the year it opened and swore I'd never do it again) and it wasn't so bad. Not heading over there again, but it was not as bad as I thought. Then I did RnR - first time was a few years ago and I didn't like it and the second time (with DS in front of me with DH) I actually let myself relax and then enjoyed it!

I figure - if I hate the ride - it will only last a few minutes anyway.

Dinosaur didn't scare me, but it did make me feel very sick. I won't be doing that one again. The funny thing is when we were at the World in Feb. I convinced my Mom to go on it - I had never been on it before & I guess I had it confused - I kept saying "It's not a roller coaster". No, it's worse! I'd go on Rock N Rollercoaster 3 times (that's my sick level on that one) before I go on Dinosaur again!

I won't go on ToT, only because I was in an elevator which got stuck, then started to jolt up and down and then the cord started to snapped. Luckily we didn't drop but the thought of going on ToT absolutely terrifies me.

Its a small world!

those little zombies are going to eat my brain!

:lmao:

In general, I love thrill rides, but I hated TOT. The actual drops werent so bad, but not knowing when they come really freaked me out. I tried it but won't be doing it again anytime soon!

Dinosaur scares me too. The Dinosaurs seem so real!...Or at least what I imagine them to be like. They're so close to the ride vehicle. I literally closed my eyes at the halfway point and didn't open them again until I got off!

i always end up riding ToT and always curse myself for allowing it! :scared1: that ride gives me a headache! :headache: i always brace myself for what i think is going to happen but the fact that the ride changes every time makes it rough! :scared1:

I WILL NOT RIDE....

Dinosaur (YIKES)
Tower of Terror
Mission Space

I also will not see It's Tough to be a Bug...
I did it once, never again, of course I have a rather large fear of the creepy crawlies...

I think I've rode/done everything else and have been ok with them!
