Hi Everyone...
Are their any resorts undergoing refurb soon or right now? I always like to take that into consideration when planning a trip. We are looking for next summer 2014. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it! THANKS! ;)

There is no way of knowing resort refurbishments that far in advance.

I remember the POR/POFQ refurbishment a few years ago. I happen to see it because I monitor another website that has the list of building permits applied for by Disney. The building permit was extremely vague as to what it was for. Lo and behold a few weeks later, they announced the schedule and it started not too long after that.

Their plans could always fall through or they could have to address some other issues and it wouldn't be prudent for them to announce almost a year ahead of time they were doing XYZ refurbishment.

Thank you so much! I actually just wanted to know which has been through the most recent refurb.. We like "fresh" rooms so to speak. I would love to know the site you monitor though. That is GREAT information to have! :) Only if you want to share though! :)

I do know the Poly longhouses are being updated. Most are complete but I think there is still a couple months left before they will all be complete.

Just got a note from my TA that Beach Club is going to be freshening up the "hard goods" in the rooms this August-December. Sounds like a partial refurb...? No more details though.

Caribbean Beach will be getting a refurb next year -- queen beds, etc.

Poly Volcano pool is rumored to go down for a potentially lengthy refurb starting in January of 2014 (what is meant by a "lengthy refurb" is anyone's guess:confused3).

DVC construction is also rumored to start there sometime this fall.

I've booked Poly for early May of 2014 and am hoping and praying the Volcano Pool will be open then:bitelip: but, if it's a major refurb, I'm concerned, especially given the amount of time it took them to refurb the GF courtyard pool (not as concerned about the DVC construction because I'll just request a longhouse away from the construction).

All-Star Sports just completed a Soft Goods refurb-the rooms look awesome.:)

WL finished refurbishing their rooms last fall. They looked great when we were there in February. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have any pics of the all star sports new rooms and when will carribean beach be done? By August 2014????

Will have to keep my eyes on this. Debating between CR and Poly for a couple nights split stay, and if the volcano pool will be closed that will make me lean to CR. I know it may be too cold to swim and there are other smaller pools, but my nephew loves to swim and if we can we will want to.
