Any recent feedback on Early Morning Magic?

I've read a few of these posts too. I think that as long as we got a few rides on 7DMT (even if it is later morning) I would be ok with it; however, I would expect a few more rides to open up for us in Fantasyland. While of course we are going for multiple rides, we are also placing importance on small crowds and enjoying the magical atmosphere before so many people arrive.

Agreed.

Despite my hesitation, I'm definitely watching to see if this event continues for my trip in November!

I'm so disappointed that every Wednesday seems to be unavailable for the DHS EMM event. Every Monday is available in September and every day in August seems to be available.

I had planned on 9/28 at DHS since we planned just a 1/2 day there this time. Hoping it's being held back and it will reopen soon.

I heard that they opened up most, if not every ride, in Fantasyland on 7/24. Someone who was doing EMM said that 7DMT was down during part of the first hour, so they opened up Fantasyland. I know the Carousel and IASW were open in addition to Pooh, PP, and 7DMT. I think the tea cups were open too. I can't remember if Little Mermaid was open. HM wouldn't technically be opened, since it's not in Fantasyland. It's pretty close in proximity though.

I was there that morning and absolutely loved it. I'm thinking about booking it again on my Sept. trip. I ate breakfast at 9:30am and the setup was still fine with everything hot.

I don't know if they had opened Little Mermaid or the Teacups because I concentrated on the other rides. I rode Peter Pan 4 times in a row, 7DMT 4 times when it opened around 8:45am or so I believe), Pooh 3 times, Carousel once and IASW once. It was 8am when I was actually walking down Main Street.
I was staying at POR and got to the bus stop at 7am - a Magic Kingdom bus didn't arrive until 7:35am. I was annoyed about that but it all worked out fine. I guess maybe there was a 6:30am bus and then a 7:30am bus. Nobody was around to ask.

You were the person I was thinking of:) This is the blond with the R2D2 hat from the Star Wars Dessert party. We shared a table with you and OhioStateBuckeye and her BF. Remember how my husband and I saw you on IASW when you were at Pinocchio Village Haus:wave: Then we kept bumping into at other places too.

I've read a couple accounts here where SDMT was down for most, if not all, of the EMM time :sad1: In those cases, the typical recourse is allowing the EMM guests to use the FP line as much as they want for SDMT until a specific time (like up until noon, for instance).
on 7/12, 7DMT went down after being open for 20 min. First, we were told we could FP it until 10 a.m. but it didn't open by 10:00 so they extended it until 2:00.

We sure had fun!

I rode 7DMT with my wristband around 11:30am again and they told me everyone there for EMM could use it until noon to go through the FP line. On a side note - my thighs had some bruising from riding it so many times that morning. I sure wish the seats and restraints were just a tiny bit bigger.

What are the current thoughts on how to get to a MK EMM? We'll have a car, but since MK takes the longest to get to, I'm also considering Disney bus or Uber. How often do buses run in the morning? And what time would you plan on being at the bus stop?

We did this in early June. Mine Train was down for most of our time. It opened up with approximately 15 minutes of time left. They opened up the carousel, small world and tea cups to compensate. However, because Mine Train was unexpectedly down it took about 15-20 minutes of the time for the additional rides to get up and running. We road Peter Pan once and Winnie the Pooh 3 times. My 3 year old daughter wanted to play in the Pooh queue but they would not let her (I still do not understand this). We were allowed to use the FP line for Mine Train until noon. Overall I think this experience is worth it. There were definitely some kinks that needed worked out when we were there. However, the breakfast was good and the CMs were really trying to make sure everyone had what they needed and were having a good time. I was aggravated with the Mine Train being down and having to wait on the other rides to get up since we only had an hour, but we understood that it wasn't anyone's fault. It was nice to get in without pushing and shoving. We will definitely do it again if it continues to be offered.

We had the 14th September booked for the Hollywood Studios event and Disney called us to say it was cancelled and would we like to go on Monday 12th instead. My guess is if the Wednesday's have barely anyone attending, they just cancel and try to fill up the Monday instead. Saves them costs I guess.

We are also doing the MK one but weirdly enough, I am looking forward to doing the HS one more and it's my least favourite park.

On another thread from today, a poster mentioned they were at DHS for EMM today- only 82 people doing this event on opening day. Sorry your date didn't work out. Hope you enjoy your EMM events. We are going to MK EMM in August - this month! So excited.

Thanks for letting me know! I feel better knowing it was a change in schedule versus being completely sold out. I haven't decided if we want to give up our plans for the 26th to do it on a Monday or not.

I'm considerin trying the MK one as we have MK planned for that Tuesday morning. Not 100% sure though.

It's fine, we managed to swap our AK day for the HS and got our rides etc sorted and dining. We actually got 3 anytime fastpasses for the 14th which is now our AK day. I did say no to having them, as I feel like Disney has gotten too handy with those things. Any problem now, and they just throw some fastpasses at a guest to shut them up. They don't realise how inconvenient it is to have to amend your schedule at such short notice especially when you originally had it done 180 days out! Hope you enjoy your event, i'm only doing the MK one because the wife wanted too haha.

Well thats just my opinion on events, it might not be but it does make sense to me. I am looking forward to breaking my arm on toy story after maybe 3-4 turns, then hitting Mickey & Minnie, Olaf, Buzz & Woody then Star Tours. Should be good and we enjoy meeting characters when they can spend a bit more time with us.

I think the ride selection is poor as everyone will mostly abuse the short wait on Mine Train, nothing else really entices me in apart from seeing the new Peter Pan walk through since we haven't seen it yet. We can take our time to really notice the details. Good luck with whatever you decide :)

We only do Disney once a year, due to school/work and flight costs. I decided that it would be worth it for our family. We are going for 16 nights and we always plan a couple of new things each trip - this year it is EMM at MK and a Pirates/Pals Fireworks Cruise.

Pirates and Pals is fun!! We did it 4 years ago for our son's 5th birthday!!

Good to hear:thumbsup2 Our teen DD's requested it (and we're staying at Contemporary for part of our vacation, so it's convenient). I hope it's ok for teens and adults. We're all big Disney fans, so hopefully we won't be out of place without little ones in our party.:goodvibes

Will we get to see the Peter Pan walk through if we in effect have Fastpass access during EMM? :confused:I haven't been since the PP queue has been updated, so I may be wrong, but I thought the FP queue would miss it, and therefore those of us on the EMM would miss it too? I'd gladly be wrong though, as I'd like to see it too! :)
