Any Promo Codes for Marriott Rewards Signup?

So in the spirit of saving, thought I would sign up for a Marriott Rewards card to use for our hotel stays, to save a little on the perks it may provide. I noticed during the signup process there is an option to enter a promotion code- does anyone have a code that can be used, that provides some enhanced benefits for a marriott rewards newbie?

Marriott frequently runs a promotion called MegaBonus - you receive a free night in a category 1-4 hotel for every second paid stay, up to two free nights. They probably run it at least twice a year, and I just enrolled for the one which begins June 1. I earned two nights at the end of 2010, and another one this spring. I have three paid stays (one for work, two vacation) before July 10, so I will get at least one night out of it in this award cycle.

The greatest thing is that a paid night in a Fairfield Inn is equal to a paid night in a Reniassance. Four nights in a basic Courtyard can equal two free nights in a pretty nice Marriott property down the line.

Thanks for the info. And I am sure this is a shot in the dark, but no easy way to bump up to Gold level early on is there without a decent number of stays? Update: Gave the customer service dept a call and found out I already had a card.... just havent used it forever so have basic status! They are sending me a replacement.

Even if there are any promotions, you have to stay a lot of nights to make gold level. My husband and I are really working on it - 6 more nights to go!

You can always ask for a "challenge". They will often offer you something like, stay 15 nights in 3 months and we'll make you Gold. That's how I made Platinum, though I lost it this year since I don't travel much any more.
