Just wanted to get some opinions on Delta...
We usually fly SW to Orlando but they have cut some of their flights to from Columbus, OH so we went with Delta b/c of the earlier arrival time.
But I am worried
...and here is why...
My dh flys every week for work and for the past two weeks he has flown Delta. Last Friday he was returning home from Orlando on a 9:30 a.m. flight. The had to deboard b/c of no air conditioning and then were delayed until 2:30 p.m. At 2:30 pushed back to 5:30 p.m. and then at 5:30 p.m. canceled. Luckily my smart dh made another reservation on another airline at 2:00 so he was able to get home that night. Never an explanation from Delta, btw.
This past Monday he flew to Newark, NJ and there were problems with this flight too. They sat on the runway for two hours, then had to come back to the gate and switch planes. He still doesn't know why.
So now you know why I am worried...I planned this trip so that we could get there early and have a full day upon arrival, but if I have to sit in the airport all day I will be so angry.
Did I make a mistake not flying SW? We have always had such luck with SW, even flying there the day before Hurricane Jeanne with not even a delay!
Does anyone have good or bad stories about Delta (hopefully good)?
