Any pin traders @ HHI 8-3rd or 4th
While I will be very close to the Alanta meet I am not able to attend as we will be busy with family. But are going to be at DVC HHI on Sun and Mon August 3rd and 4th and was wondering if any pin traders will be there. Should I pack the PINS? The resort has trading on Fridays I think but I will be back home by then. I love HH and can't wait to get there .

Hi Brenda! Hilton Head is my home resort and I love it there too! Unfortunately, we won't be at HH until November - sorry. I'm normally pretty shy about trading pins with others (had a very bad experience once) but I love trading with the CMs. They are so friendly and several of them had some unique pins so I was happy I brought my lanyard with me this past December. I also intend to pack the lanyard for this November's trip. I have quite a few pins on my lanyard and it caused a bit of a "stir". I also wore my guest of honor badge and some guests thought I was a CM with my goh badge and lanyard bursting with pins!

Anyway, I would definitely pack the lanyard as you never know what great pins the CMs will have (or a fellow guest for that matter) - but this is just one woman's opinion! Have a great trip.

HH is our first home resort back in 96 when they opened we go every spring and I just love it there and always want to fit in more trips there and am finaly able to this summer. i will bring my laynard for sure and pack a pin bag also just in case.
sorry you had a bad experince with pin trading there are some jerks out there but most are great and you can allways say no thanks I do not have a GOH badge but will have fun anyway and confirm with my family that I am nuts Disney nuts anyway

Since HH was your first home, then I know you'll have a good time! I wish I could get over my "camera" shyness with pin trading with strangers. I did try it one more time thinking I had just run into the king of pin trading jerks but I ended up with the short end of the stick (long story) and traded away a pin I really did not want to trade but felt put on the spot. From that moment on, I vowed to only trade with CMs since they never seem to have a private agenda and genuinely seem happy to give you whatever you want on their lanyards for whatever you happen to want to trade.

Thanks for the encouragement though - who knows I might try it again one day! Do you plan on doing the Chef Gordon private affair meal? Since HH is your home resort, do you have any favorite restaurants you could recommend? Thanks so much!

Beleive it or not we don't eat out much at HH We always have family with us and my two SIL's love to cook and I don't mind cleaning up so it works out real well since I hate to cook. I do want to try Chef Gorden sometime. My brother (who lives in SC) and I have 6 kids between us so it is much cheaper to eat in. This is a differnt trip for me, I miss my brother so my DD ,SIL (Different brother have 4)and I are driving down to SC to visit and leaving all my guys home 2DS and DH as they all have to work. I felt that if I was in SC I had to end my trip at HH before driving back to Ma.I wait listed since April and got 2 nights so I am real excited. Makes all that driving bearable.
