It's me again. I have to start the search for a house all over again, because my sister and father are no longer going with us. I have only been looking into ones the say no pets allowed because I'm scared of dogs. I thought that it ment they weren't allowed in the resort at all. I have fund some resorts that I liked and start searching within those only and seen that it wasn't the resorts policey, just the owners. Are there any resorts within 30mins or Disney that doesn't allow ptes?

I believe service dogs are going to be allowed pretty much everywhere. I wouldn't base my decision on something like this.

There wouldn't be many homes in Windsor Hills that would allow dogs probably a half dozen out of hundreds. I've never seen a dog there at all and if there was it would have to be on a leash outside but kept inside most of the time. I don't think you have any worries of encountering one on the loose. How do you live in your own neighbourhood, surely there are dogs there ?

I pretty much live in a constant state of panic. I can go out alone because of how bad my panic attacks can be. Dogs on leashes I can deal with and service dogs. I'm was just worried about the pools and playgrounds. Around here in Louisville, I can go some where that says it doesn't allow dogs or they must be on a leash and people how break the rule because no one is enforcing the rule. The owner get mad at me for being scared of there "baby". There are some who think it's funny and tell their dogs to attack. I'm very cautious about were I go.

I've done some searching and found a few sites that said Regal Oaks is pet free. I've been able to find some great rates due to the pool being closed right now (will reopen in April) and it's close to Disney. Google says about 16mins to Magic Kingdom.

You wouldn't find any dogs on the loose in any of the subdivisions that I've stayed in actually I've never seen a dog on the loose anywhere in the whole area.

I was in Windsor Hills earlier in August and I did see one tiny little dog and it was on a leash. Maybe you should look at timeshares which do not allow pets instead of condos where real owners are allowed to have them.

I have stayed at Regal Oaks and it has a kind of abandoned feel. It was never finished because the developers ran out of money. So the owners who purchased based on hi expectations are barely surviving and units not kept up too well. Lots of vacancies and just not the vibe most want on a Disney vacation.

We have been on 11 trips to Orlando and Kissimmee now and have never seen a loose or scary dog at any resort. If you want the strictest regulations I would go with a gated & manned resort because they screen everybody who enters. I understand that a phobia and panic attacks are difficult to control but honestly most people just don't bring dogs to Disney, and if they do there are special motels where they stay, who allow RVs/etc. Most certainly no dogs are ever allowed around a pool area. All of the nicer resorts will be safe for you. I think Paradise Palms, Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, and the Marriott resort of Cypress Harbour are good places to start.

I love dogs but can understand how panic attacks can be - I have them for different reasons. That said, I haven't seen any dogs ever while in Disney on my many, many trips and we always stay off property. Except for an occasional service dog, and even that has been very rare. I really wouldn't worry about it at all.

The Sheraton will allow service dogs.

No doubt....which is why I said "pet" free rather than animal-free.

One word of caution to the OP about the Sheraton Vistana Resort....there are tons of ducks and geese there (and not just in the little lakes and ponds...also roaming about the grounds) if that would be worrisome.

Thanks Ametista and Gina-Gina-Bo-Bina. I will look into Sheraton Vistana Resort.
