Well, we really didn't try at any of the proper times, so I would be shocked, really. We're *just* getting started. It would definitely be a welcome surprise! I have had my thyroid checked, but that's it. If nothing has happened by the end of the year, I may go in. I'm only 24 (25 next month) and my previous gyn did not suspect any problems at all, but she thought my thyroid was enlarged, so she ran the blood tests, etc. No problems. My cycles pre-BCP were fairly normal, just a little long. They just would fluctuate...So if I say, took the SAT, it would be a week later. Stuff like that. Usually about 5 week cycles then. This month though: DH is starting a new job, we have to be out of our apt. by the end of the month, we had trouble finding a storage unit and moving company, I still haven't found a job, my thesis chair is an idiot so my diploma is on hold until I defend, we can't buy a house until I have a job because of location, we've spent our first nights apart since we've been married, etc. So stress is DEFINITELY a factor

The hints of color have hardly happened, so it's making me think I imagined them, because I had I think one yesterday, one the day before, and a little the day before. We're talking minute changes in coloration. I've been needing to hit the facilities much more than normal for me, so I don't know what that means. Ugh. Anyway...

What hints of color do you *think* you've been seeing? Yep getting into nitty gritty, but curious. Also just something to think about, BDing and even lots of coughing and issues with constipation can cause a bit more "color" to show up if you are pregnant. The cervix at that point is just "ripe" with blood so it can cause teeny hints of color with that kind of stuff.

Gosh, I'm not sure. barely pink/brown? Just too dark-which could also be the folic acid I suppose. There definitely was some after BDing the other day. For some reason, I'm just sure I'm not.

I just noticed the little guy in your sig. That is SO cute!

For those of you who did IVF:

What was your time frame from beginning (Lupron injections) to implantation? I am on day 3 of injections...and was curious.

Also, after implantation, did you take a preg test..or wait until the blood test?

Thanks!!

Folic Acid can darken dischage? I didn't know that. I can't speak for any other time, but if you did have it more after BDing, then that might be it. Then again it might be uterus cramping for other reasons :rolleyes1 Honestly at this point I would be testing, but my cycles never go more than 1.5 days longer than average (only one that did was the one right after the D&C)

I thought that little guy was cute too... kind of my way of thinking good baby thoughts for everyone. It was just too cute not to put in.

Hi all,

Thanks for your kind words about our situation. I'm having good days and bad days and now we're waiting for the results of DH's 2nd SA which he had done on Friday - he'll be chasing it up every day as it took almost 3 weeks to get the results last time. I've got an appointment with my doctor this Friday to discuss the results of my blood test that I had taken last Friday to see if there's anything they can find wrong with me.

It doesn't help that AF is due this week and now I know that there's no possibility that I can be pregnant, that's going to be hard to deal with when she comes.

GypsySue - so sorry AF showed

2bemarried - I'm so sorry that your DH has the same problem but it's also nice to know that we're not the only people going through this but I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Once I know for sure what the actual problem is and what the options are, I will pm you to get more info.

TinkerChelle - good luck in the 2WW - fingers crossed!!

PrincessPooh - Have you tested yet? I wouldn't be able to wait!! Good luck!!

Carla - The end is in sight - good luck and hope you have a not-too-painful delivery!!

And hello to everyone else and sending everyone pixiedust: and :grouphug:

Vick

Well, since we're on the discharge stories, I'll chirp in with mine.

This last week, it's been a lot thicker and sticker. It's so gross. I don't know why it's changed, but usually it's not as thick or sticky before AF (it's supposed to start in 6 days). And I know this is WAY TMI, but I wear panty liners every day since I hate that "wet" feeling, and within 2-3 hours I have to change it. It's never been that "gross" before. I hope everything is okay.

I am finally all moved into my new place, but hubby needs to set up my computer. I hate his. He has that "natural" keyboard and my fingers do not want to type on it well.

Princess Pooh...did you test yet?!:rolleyes1

I might as well chime in with some more discharge stories as well.. again.. lol...
after my second miscarriage for three months straight I was having discharge EVERY DAY! I thought there was something wrong with me, because this didn't happen the first time I had a mis. The first time I also had a D&C so maybe that had something to do with it.
Has that ever happened to anyone besides me?

DznyLvr, what kind of discharge are you talking about? I think anything kind of clear is normal. I am like Gurgi though, I wear pantyliners daily no matter what. I hate feeling wet like that though. I think most women have slight discharge daily... otherwise why would they sell daily liners? :teeth: Now after my D&C for a month straight I had brown in my discharge. Then AF showed up... regular type of discharge for me after.
I meant to ask you earlier. You keep mentioning MD for your doc. Is this just an average MD and not an OB/GYN? If so, I would find a real doc that knows about women and the reproductive system for sure. Not that I don't trust my MD, but I trust my OB/GYN a LOT more!

Vick, good luck with the blood tests. I do hope you are able to find a way to get pregnant once you hae all your information. 3 weeks sounds like a long time. I think my friend who had her husband tested said it took a week or less... and I know some tests I get results back that day. So I agree with wanting to push.

Gurgi, nice to see you stop in. I was honestly just thinking about you this morning. What CD are you on? Like I said earlier, I hate that wet feeling as well. For a while after I got pregnant again, I was using ultrathins so I wouldn't have to deal with it so much. It's just nasty and dirty feeling to me

I mean right after my M/C I was having constant creamy watery stuff daily for months and I NEVER had that before. It was so wierd, I thought I had in infection and after all these tests, nothing came up. It went on for about 3 months, daily dripping... Then suddenly stopped and went back to normal, which is creamy pre- O, dry post O....for me anyway :)
When I say MD, I mean gyno :)

Kristine, here is the breakdown of my cycles. I did a few weeks of BCP before starting Lupron for each cycle.

#1: Started Lupron on 11/22/05. Started Follistim on 12/2/05. Retrieval was on 12/14/05. I got AF on 12/27/05, so I never tested at home. I had my blood test on 12/28/05 and, as expected, it was a BFN.

#2: Started Lupron on 1/17/06. Started Follistim on 1/27/06. Retrieval was on 2/10/06. I got what I thought was AF on 2/22/06, so I never tested at home. I had my blood test on 2/23/06. It was positive. The pregnancy was ectopic.

#3: Started Lupron on 5/25/06. Started Follistim on 6/2/06. Retrieval was on 6/14/06. I got AF on 6/27/06, so I never tested at home. I had my blood test on 6/30/06.

#4: Started Lupron on 8/28/06. Started Follistim on 9/8/06. Retrieval was on 9/19/06. I started spotting on 9/29/06. So, I took an HPT to put myself out of my misery. It was positive. My blood test was on 11/5/06. I could have gone earlier, but figured I'd enjoy being Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise for a while. :goodvibes

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY. My BP is up, so they did an NST on me today and we both passed. So, they sent me home. But, if my BP is high tomorrow, they may choose to do a c-section instead of trying us out on Pitocin. If my BP is too high, they worry that we won't be able to handle the induction. I'm fine with the c-section, so that part doesn't worry me. I'm just terrified in general. Pain and tearing and what if something goes wrong? Then, after ALL of that, they expect me to take care of a baby?!?! I've never been around a baby. The only time I ever changed a diaper, he peed on me. So, I'm scared. But, I think once I actually get there and see my doctor and the nurses, I'll relax some more. I hope. I hope my being scared doesn't cause the high BP. I'd hate to have a c-section just because I was afraid, you know?

One of the biggest downfalls of infertility....you spend so much time trying to get pregnant that when this part of it comes around, you never expected it and it's a huge shock. The idea that I have to deliver and then care for a baby is so new to me and I never thought about it. It's all hitting me at once now. :scared1:

Elaine, I can't believe your BIL said that :scared1:. What a dumb thing to say!

WDWAurora, I'm having the same kind of super-stressful month. Good luck defending your thesis!!! I'm sure all the job/living arrangement stuff will work itself out soon

I'll probably test on Thursday since I'll be a week late by then. I think my body is still adjusting to being off the pill, and I need to be a bit more patient.

Carla, I am so excited for you! Good Luck! :goodvibes

Day #28 here....NO AF! NO AF! Please NO AF! Say it with Me! NO AF FOR ME PLEASE!

Carla, good luck! That's so exciting!!

TinkerChelle, No AF! NO AF! NO AF!!!! :)

Carla, good luck!!! I hope everything goes smoothly. You are going to be a GREAT mom!!!

TinkerChelle, No AF, No AF!!! :wizard:

I hope all goes well for you- I'll have you in my prayers all day long tomorrow. Carla, you are in my thoughts and prayers... I do hope all goes well for you  Try not to think about what it will take to get you there, but focus on your girl you'll be holding in no time!

NO AF!!! NO AF!!! NO AF!!!
