What a cutie pie, Beck!! :) Congrats!

Did anyone see DMickey's post this morning? She started to go into labor. I bet she has her little one now!! :)

Well, it's getting down to the final hour. I had my "last supper" until Friday because tomorrow it's only light foods in the morning and then clear liquids from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. tomorrow; nothing to eat after midnight and probably won't eat again until Friday morning. I chowed down through a steak, potato with butter and sour cream and mac n' cheese.

Halfway through the meal I realized that what goes in must come out, so I slightly regret eating such a heavy meal ;)

I got the super duper laxative and the bottle is GIGANTIC. I am super scared to take this tomorrow :scared1: I have to drink a full 8 ounce glass of water each time I take a dose, so I think I'm just gonna bring a pillow and a blanket to the toilet and sleep there tomorrow night.

I went to the doc for my final pre-op appointment. He did another pelvic exam and went through what's going to happen. Apparently, it's bad enough that I'm going to have 3 incisions on me. Two will be on either side of my abdomen by my bikini line, the other above my belly button. Each cut will be about this big: [ ] And while it's not gigantic, there will be fun tools and cameras going into eat site, so it's going to be sore. He also said that I have to have another exam before the surgery (I'll be out of it, luckily) where he's going to put in a camera and dye and look for other problems that way. He thinks it's going to be a 3-4 hour surgery.

He warned me I'm going to be very sore and gave me a presciption of percoset. He said before I completely come out of anesthesia, he's going to give me a shot of morphine to help with the pain. So I'm a little scared now. :scared1: :scared1:

The good news is, we can TTC as soon as my first period happens, which will be next week. I'm gonna load up on the cough syrup, pineapples, pre-seed, you name it. Infertility be damned, I'm going to get pregnant, and SOON!!

What a beautiful picture! It makes my uterus ache.

got my Beta results today, and it was 1009!!!! They said that is a great number, so I hve blood drawn again tomorrow to check it agian, and if beta still looks good, Duke schedules an U/S in five weeks! WOOT! I am just sayin "GROW little beans GROW!!! I hope everyone is well and good luck!!!!!!!

Meredith

Yeah, Meredith! :cheer2: Hey are you in Durham, or at a satellite facility? I went to high school in Durham, to college and law school in Chapel Hill, and my mom and brothers stilllive in Durham (my mom works for Duke).

Denae

Gurgi - Good luck drinking that stuff, getting it all out, and with your surgery tomorrow! I will be thinking about you and can't wait to hear new Boo-Bay reports.

Denae

Becky, Vaylie is beautiful! I've been waiting for an update. :goodvibes

Meredith, congrats on the great numbers!! :yay: :yay:

I've been MIA and have a lot to catch up on here.....my phone/internet was wiped out in the floods. I was trapped in my town for days - sadly DH and I didn't know this was going to happen and we didn't go food shopping. It was pretty hairy for a little bit (no Red Cross bringing us food...WTH?!?).

Anyway, once I was able to get out of the town, I had to go to the office to work - that made my legs swell and that got me put on bedrest. Bedrest...with no freakin' phone or internet. It was a joy.

But, I'm back (still on bedrest), so I'm going to head backwards into the thread and try to catch up!

Oh dear, Carla. That sounds awful.

Oh Carla! I'm so sorry!!

I was put on bedrest right around the same time as you due to PIH. It only lasted a few weeks, though, because DS decided to arrive 4 weeks early at 35w6d. I make note of the exact time because the hospital REFUSED to let me have him in the birthing room, even though my OB said okay, since he wasn't 36w. One day short! Instead, I had to have him in the fancy, cold delivery room with tons of people around!

Meredith

Yeah Meredith!!!! Maybe you have two little beans!!! How exciting for you and your DH. Keep us posted on your progress

gurgi---good luck with the surgery!:goodvibes I am thinking good thoughts for ya!

Denae, we go to the clinic in Durham, they do have a sattelite in raleigh I think...The clinic is only like a year old, and they moved off of Duke Medical center main campus to get a bigger place.

Yes guys, our IVF nurse at this point says our beta looks promising that both beans have made themselves at home, so waiting for the ultrasound is going to be a killer!!!!

I can't believe you have to wait that long. Hoping for 2 beans! :wizard:

The ultasound will be in 5 weeks...then we officially "graduate" from Duke and are released to regular OB. Hmmm...wonder if I can put Dr. in front of my name now.....:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Oh, Carla. I'm sorry. :( Stock up on lotsa good reading material!! :(

Well, I'm home now. I downed that bottle of crap and now my stomach is starting to hurt. No runs to the potty yet though ;) Sorry for the TMI. I'm wondering if I'm gonna have to run NOW like the guy did in Van Wilder at the end of the movie.

Another girl in my office announced she was pregnant today. I told them to give me some of the water that they're drinking, I wanna be preggers!

Becky, Vaylie is so cute! I love that picture!!

gurgi - hope the surgery goes well and the "fast and cleanse" isn't too awful!

Carla - hang in there! Sorry about the bedrest - I can't imagine being on bedrest without my internet!

Meredith - hope you get those two beans! How exciting!

My laptop has busted, and now I'm trying to decide if I should invest the $200 in getting it repaired or just put that money towards a new one. The delightful 19 mo. old girl I take care of decided to pick it up by one corner of the screen while it was open, and it cracked the plastic that holds the display to the body of the laptop. Her parents did offer to pay to have it fixed, but it was really my fault for leaving it on the floor by the couch and leaving it open. I've had my eye on a new laptop for a while (I need more speed! ;) ), so I'm tempted to hold off. The laptop still works, but the screen now has to be propped up by something or held up, otherwise it falls completely flat. A little annoying, that.

I'm now swinging between major bouts of upchucking and major starvation cravings. One minute I swear all of my insides are rebelling, and the next I'm dying for a Big Mac and I MUST HAVE A BIG MAC NOW! Yesterday I was craving pasta salad (?!) and I made almost two gallons of it! :rotfl: DH came home and said "I sure hope you're going to be craving that for the next week because I don't see how on earth I'm going to eat all that if you suddenly decide you can't stand it." Monday I called him at work and told him that he'd better pick up some Mango Chicken for dinner, and don't show up without it. He's slowly learning to just say "yes dear" and bring me my food. :lmao:

I sliced my finger on a pill cutter earlier today so this might be brief ;)

Had a rough night last night and I decided after my stomach killing me that it was time to switch to flinstones and folic acid separately. I am also taking B6 and if htat doesn't work, I am adding unisom. People have commented on me losing weight so I figure that's not good.

Carla  hang in there... not much time left for you either!

Gurgi, best wishes prepping for the surgery. You are far more brave than I!

Meredith, woo hoo on the great Beta!!!!!! Keep us posted on how everything goes.

Bethany, I'm always for new laptops, but not sure what I would do either. How old is it?

I hate hormones... some days I am happy and other days I cannot help but cry and worry. I will be happy when the worst is over ;)

Sending lots of Baby Dust and sticky dust to everyone! I hope to see a lot more BFP soon :)

So I had to give up my serving shift this evening. My emotions were nuts this morning at work. I was sad, teary eyed, upset because all food tastes nasty, and just irritable. Someone tell me why. It was BAD this morning and came out of nowhere! I hated giving up my money, but I needed to be home. I took a nap at 4 and woke up at about 7....that helped a lot. :goodvibes These excess hormones are kicking my tushy! I just want that placenta to take shape so little one can get his/her hormones from there and leave mommy's alone! I get so sad sometimes. I don't worry, I just get sad. Is that normal?

Hello to all the ladies! Hope all of you are doing well.

Denise, my friends and I joke and say that it is called pregnancy insanity. Seriously I have no control... I snap, cry, whine... whatever out of nowhere. It is the worst part of this.
Okay the nausea sucked... but in all honesty for anyone who is listening... B6 DOES HELP!!!! All you ladies keep that in mind. I have been taking it 2 days now and I am down to slight nausea and heartburn again. OMG, a lifesend!!! I don't even have to try unisom. It's a little miracle pill and they say the majority of women do repsond great to it.

Yes the B6 and Unisom does work....I was taking both. Not doing the Unisom tonight though...I'm sleepy enough already.
