Something similar happened with my neighbor. They were ttc for over 3 years, then got pg, and now have 2 little girls less than a year apart. And one couple in our cb class had been trying for 5+ years! There is hope for everyone! :thumbsup2

My cousin tried for a long time to get pregnant. They finally got pregnant after doing some fertility treatments. Her little boy was born in April 2005. Around Mother's Day 2006, she found out she was unexpectedly pregnant. A few weeks later...found out it was TWINS! She delivered two little girls right before Christmas!!

Well, AF arrived tonight.

I knew we didn't BD on the right days due to our trip, but I managed to let myself have a little hope of a souvineer. I knew I shouldn't have done that! :( :( Just makes it even worse. Hopefully I can at least BD at the right times this month!

Skuttle~ :grouphug: I'm sorry.... That old witch is never where she's supposed to be. I see your tag that you're thinking about 2008, when were you thinking about going? We are probably taking the kids in Dec '08.

Hopefully next month will be the one for you!

Skuttle, so sorry the evil witch showed up. :grouphug:

well still in Orlando, heading out on a 6am flight...hopefully. since i live in Dallas, i am not sure if my flight will be delayed or cancelled due to the ice storm there. ugh! i get in at 8am hopefully and can head home and sleep the day away.

Orlando was fun, i got in some fun time besides working. did Epcot on thursday and it was great- low crowds. rode soarin, ms, TT, spaceship earth and the new seas with nemo (very cute new ride). also did the countries and ate around the world-- all within 6 hours! saw illuminations from mexico too. We did MK on saturday from 3-10pm. it was crowded and got worse as the day went on. We rode just about everything we wanted to though, using FP. by the end of the night, space mtn was 70 minutes long! we had a good dinner at LTT. did some shopping yesterday too- i've been wanting that large play castle that used to be $100. it is now like $70, so i got one shipped back home. i hope someday to let my kids play with it! lol

well gotta go check out of AKL, it was so nice here, we really enjoyed it and saw giraffes outside our room. i'll post a few pics later. I think DH will now come back and want to stay here. he said it would be great to bring kids here. :cool1: :thumbsup2 he is slowly starting to appreciate disney.

well CD 8 here i think. just my birth control pill cycle to rev up for IVF. now i remember why i got off the pill.....makes me so sick to my stomach in the am. diarhea often etc. great fun. well only a few more weeks of this before the heavy shots start. i am just ready to get this show on the road!

hope everyone is doing great and had a great weekend!!!

Michelle - happy to hear you had some fun down in WDW when you could get away from work! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you were able to get some quality touring time in - I read that the crowds got pretty crazy down there over the weekend. I hope you have a safe flight in with all this crazy weather. My parents are driving thru TX today to San Antonio & talking about the ice storms. The weather is crazy here, too - it's been raining for 48 hours straight & everything is flooded - will get up to 50 today, then 25 tonight with a couple inches of snow in the forecast for today & tomorrow. High tomorrow will only be 25 with a low of 14! 70 degrees in FL Weds morning should feel pretty good after that! :rotfl:

Skuttle - so sorry AF showed her ugly face over the weekend. :sad2: I know how much you were hoping for a WDW souvie. You're right - MGM really is the worst place to find some CS. We end up leaving that park more than any other to find some grub. :)

Not much is new here, just anxiously awaiting our trip in less than 2 days!! :yay: I got my hair done on Saturday, then got my laundry all caught up & did some house cleaning done. I've got most of my clothes packed, but still trying to narrow some of it down at this point. Right now it's looking like high 70's for the majority of the week, which I'm very excited about - not too hot & not too cold. :goodvibes Still trying to decide how many pairs of jeans/long pants for 10 nights there - it's getting down into the 50's at night.

I'm on CD25 & still awaiting AF. According to FF, I'm 7DPO today, so hopefully AF will show sometime late this week or early next. It will really stink to have her around during our trip, but it's also exciting to some extent because it'll mean we can start TTC again soon. :goodvibes I can always enjoy a half yard in England or margarita in Mexico to relieve some of those cramps. ;) :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone. I'm bummed, for sure, but also know we STILL haven't hit my O date, so that at least still gives me some comfort. Something I can fix, you know? You know, there's a small part of me that is just ready to give up and move on with my life. Redo the guest bedroom as that...instead of just waiting. Since we've moved, we left the guest bedroom along because we knew we wanted another baby. Well, I never thought it would take this long. I guess I"m just getting discouraged. I start thinking why put myself through this every month if I already have one DS. :confused3

Michelle..Sounds like you're having a great time!! I loved the new nemo ride as well. Very cute!

Mousehouselover...We're not sure yet. If I get pregnant soon, we won't go in 08. If I don't get pregnant, or I'm not too far along during the pregnancy, we'll still go. I went to WDW when I was 18/19 weeks along with DS, and it wasn't too bad. If we go, it'll probably be in the summer...right after school lets out. DH is a teacher, so we're at the mercy of the school schedule! DH is thinking about trying to get his band (he's a band director) to go to WDW next year as well...probably around either mardi gras or spring break. :)

Emily: Good luck packing!! THis time of year is so tough! We were lucky enough that the temp in the morning and at night was still warm enough for us to just wear shorts all day long. The worst days are those that are too cool in the morning/evening for shorts, but too hot during the day for pants!
I enjoyed a margarita in Mexico this year. Yum!! At home, I never drink frozen margarita...always on the rocks for me. But at WDW, that frozen layered one is the best! Especially when we had 80 degree days!

Hey Everyone. I have a question if someone can please help me. I've been off the BCP since 9/16/06. We're still actively TTC. Anyway, i've started charting my temp, which has been higher this past week and checking my CF, which shows that i was ovulating last week and still may be. I have been taking ovulation tests, however, they are all negative. i don't get it. also, i'm starting to feel crampy and having some lower back pain. Can someone help me with this? Is this just an early sign of my period or is it, hopefully, early signs of pregnancy. I'm new at this stuff...Thank you!

Hi guys...Just poking around a little bit. Freaking myself out a little, so post deleted. Sorry...It's drastic to type some of these things, you know?

Michelle-I'm glad you had a good time at WDW. I must admit I'm a little jealous ;) I still have 106 days before we get there. Wow Epcot in 6 hours...amazing. My DH spend the whole day there. He gets there when the gates open and I meet up with him later (i'm not a morning person).

Well I'm not sure what CD i'm on because I'm trying not to look. But the is a night and day difference from last cycle with clomid. WOW!! I was so queasy and my b**bs hurt so bad, I just felt like crap. This cycle I had lots of cramping around O but not much since. Time will tell.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and is surviving the wild weather out there!!!! Safe travels :goodvibes

I found this on Twoweekwait.com today...I think it is really cool...

As quoted from Stirrup Queens Site - link below:

The History of Infertility's Common Thread

For anyone who has experienced infertility or who is currently experiencing infertility. For anyone who has suffered through pregnancy loss. For those who have conceived naturally, utilized treatments, adopted, used third-party reproduction, or chose to live child-free: a movement.

It all began when Paz lamented that there should be a secret handshake for those who have experienced or are currently experiencing infertility. She was finally pregnant after multiple miscarriages and she wanted infertile women to know when looking at her pregnant belly that she was one of them still--in heart and mind. She was open to questions and to passing along any information she had obtained along the way.

This led to a lengthy discussion about a signal we could give one another as well as a tangible object that would invite questions and subsequently discussion about infertility. The conversation jumped from idea to idea--a pomegranate-shaped charm, a Livestrong-esque bracelet--until it finally settled on a simple thread.

With the idea being that it was an item that was easy to obtain no matter where you lived. It posed a minimal cost. It could be ornamented or braided any way the wearer chose. It could be sent through the mail. It was simple. It was discreet. We picked the embroidery floss #814 because it was the colour of pomegranates. Which was one of the fertility symbols considered along the way.

Royalyne stepped forward and got the ball rolling with a write up that we tweaked until it became this statement:

Pomegranates, a longstanding symbol of fertility, serve as a strong analogy to those suffering through infertility. Though each pomegranate skin is unique in colour and texture, the seeds inside are remarkably similar from fruit to fruit. Though our diagnosis is unique—endometriosis, low sperm count, luteal phase defect, or causes unknown—the emotions, those seeds on the inside, are the same from person to person. Infertility creates frustration, anger, depression, guilt, and loneliness. Compounding these emotions is the shame that drives people suffering from infertility to retreat into silence.

In addition, the seeds represent the multitude of ways one can build their family: natural conception, treatments, adoption, third-party reproduction, or even choosing to live child-free.

The pomegranate thread holds a two-fold purpose: to identify and create community between those experiencing infertility as well as create a starting point for a conversation. Women pregnant through A.R.T., families created through adoption, or couples trying to conceive during infertility can wear the thread, identifying themselves to others in this silent community. At the same time, the string serves as a gateway to conversations about infertility when people inquire about its purpose. These conversations are imperative if we are ever to remove the social stigma attached to infertility.Tie on the thread because you’re not alone. Wear to make aware.

Join us in starting this conversation about infertility by purchasing this pomegranate-coloured thread (#814 by DMC) at any craft, knitting, or variety store such as Walmart or Target. Tie it on your right wrist. Notice it on others.

Nicole - I am so happy to see your post! Congrats and good luck on your upcoming adventure!

skuttle - sorry about AF. You are right to keep hoping! Sending so many good wishes your way that next month is the one.

Emily - I hope you are having a great time. I am so jealous. I am so needing a vacation.

Michelle - I am glad you had a good time. I can't believe how much you were able to fit into such a short time.

I am also one of those people who had trouble getting PG, but once I did, I had another right away.

I really need to get motivated and get some work done around here!

Denae

Emily- have a great time on your trip- i'll have to start reading your trip report. 10 days, i am so jealous!

well ordered my in vitro drugs today. $2500 for them. My insurance covered the lupron, so that saved me a few hundred bucks at least. i guess it covered it since they use that one for endo treatments or something.

hope everyone is having a good day!!!

Skuttle, I am so sorry the old hag showed up. I do hope you'll have better luck this time around!!!

Noni, we were actually able to TTC last month, so AF showing up did nothing other than let me realize how stressed I was during Dec :p My husband seriously kept better track of my cycle than I did.

Michelle, I am so glad you had a good time even though you were there for work. I am so jealous. I have no idea when I will make it back. Some of my friends are talking about F&WF, but I am not sure how that will work for us.

Emily, I so hope you have a blast on your trip!!! I do hope AF does not show while you are away. This would not be a cycle I'd wish on anyone on a trip no matter what. Hopefully you'll be lucky and you'll either have AF show early or late!

Ok...I'm done...I'm so over winter!!!! We have been below freezing for far to long. If I wanted this kind of weather I would have moved to Alaska. My skin is so dry and my sinuses are driving me crazy. Is it Spring yet!!!!!!

OK...rant over...

Emily-hope you and your DH have a great time in WDW!!!

Michelle-Yikes...that is alot for your drugs. I'm glad that insurance is paying for some of it. I will never understand why insurance companies won't pay for IVF. But I'm really glad that your grandpa is willing to help you start your family.

lovinwdw - I don't have any good advice for you on ovulation predictors. I just temped and charted and discovered I was not ovulating at all. I didn't know when I ovulated when I got PG with Hannah, and my only sign with Emily was egg white cervical mucus. Good luck. Early PG signs can very different for many different people. My telltale sign was incredibly sore breasts, from 1 DPO.

Michelle - holy smokes on the drugs! You go, girl! I am very excited for you.

DD8 - I am so over winter, too. I went home at lunch today, and fell down my back steps. I was certain I broke something, but I think I am o.k. I am going to be sore for a couple of days, though.

I got a really nice raise today. So I guess that means I should get back to work!

Congratulations on the raise :cool1: :cheer2: That is great news!!!

Sorry about falling down the steps I hope you are not too sore :grouphug:

I slipped on some stairs and cracked my tailbone a few years ago and I still hurt from that...sucks...won't wish that on my worst enemy!!!!

Be carefull out there!!!!! Now get back to work ;)

Good morning, Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well this morning...and staying warm! It is COLD down here. No ice, thankfully...well actually, I wouldn't have minded being stuck at home all day. ;) The slightest bit of ice down here and we shut down since we're not used to it.

Nothing new here. Just waiting for AF to leave so we can start trying again. Since I O late, it seems to take forever to get there!

Anyone in the 2ww??

Congrats on the raise Denae! that's awesome.

i am so over winter too. flew home from orlando monday am to ice. then it cleared up some yesterday, but still in the 30s....today, more ice. i am at home....they closed almost every school district in DFW. we just aren't used to this weather! ugh!

Elaine- hope you get to go to F & WF....my old disney college program roommates just had a reunion a few months back during it...i had just had my lap and couldn't make it. i was so upset. they called me and sent pics the whole weekend though. i know you and your friends would have a blast.

i did get to see two of my old roomies though- one works at Epcot as the kodak area after the figment ride (acting type gig), the other does disney weddings....i am so jealous. she was getting up the next day to do a wedding in italy at epcot for a couple.

well back to curl up with the dogs in the warm bed.

How fun that you got to see some of your old friends!!! Sorry it is so cold there but I feel your pain. At least they shut things down there...here we can have six feet of snow and the schools still open as do all the shops and stores. But we are used to it and everyone here (except the new CA transplants) know how to drive in it. I think we might get above freezing today as the sun is out in all her glory so I guess I better get into town for some food and get the mail.

Well AF should show within the next day or two...so we shall see :wizard:
