It looks as though AF is here. I've been having brown spotting and today it's red so it looks as though this cycle was a bust. It sucks too. My cycle can be irregular, but is around 40 days. I hate that I have to wait so long; why can't I have a nice normal 28 day cycle?

Sorry AF showed for you, too. :sad1: I hear you on the long cycles - I'm irregular, but I usually run 32-36 days. I used to love it when I wasn't TTC - it was great having such a nice, long stretch between periods. Now I hate it! I have 19 more days before I can even begin to use the OPK's without wasting them, and it could be another week after that before we should be BD. :headache: My good friend is very supportive of me in the TTC process, but she's not only super regular (down to starting AF at the same time of the day every month), but she's one of those women who can actually feel herself ovulating! So she knew exactly which day of her cycle she O'd on, and it was super easy for them to time BD to get her BFP. It did take them two cycles, which she wasn't expecting, but she says it just goes to prove that even when you KNOW you did everything right, there's still only that 20% chance of conceiving.

Rebecca - thanks for the kind words. :goodvibes I know all about eating unhealthy food, especially around the holidays! :lmao:

Disneygirl - sorry about your AF showing her face. :sad1: I hear you on the longer cycles - my pre-pregnancy cycle was pretty long - close to 40 days as well. Who knows what will happen with my current cycle...

Well, FF has been frustrating me - I've been thinking that I'd already O'd this week, but it wasn't giving me the crosslines. I decided to go in & delete the really high temps I had input for the several days following my miscarriage/D&C & now FF is giving me an O date of this past Monday at CD18, which sounds about right to me this month. Now, we have to decide if I really trust FF's dates enough to BD without the protection we've been using this month. It'd be nice to not have to pack things like that on our vacation next week. I'm thinking by then we should be safe anyways...does anyone have any advice on this? :confused3

I sympathize with you who have long, irregular cycles. I had 6 week cycles from day one, and no cycles once I went off the pill (PCOS).

After I had Hannah, we were not really trying to get PG again, but we weren't beign super careful because we figured it would be tough to get PG again - with my PCOS, while nursing, and without getting my period yet. So we had gotten a little lax in using protection. I noticed one day some ewcm and a little cramping, and told DH that I thought I might be ovulating. Of course I waited until about half way into the BD, and it was a too late to turn back. :rotfl:

About 4 weeks later I found out I was PG with Emily. Oops! But it was a beautiful oops!

Congratulations, Carla, on your little girl! I love having a dd! It is so fun to shop for girls' clothes and put pretty bows and things in their hair. I am biased though of course since all I have is a dd. I know I would be just as excited if I had a boy as well. Katharine is a beautiful name but again I am biased as I have thing for names that begin with 'K'.

Michelle, your grandfather is amazing and you are so lucky to have him! I can't imagine a greater gift than him paying for you to hopefully soon have a child of your own.

The weather here is crazy this year. It is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend. Of course that means we will all be sick again soon. Kylie already is. I had to leave school early today since she had a 104 fever. I took her to the dr. and all she has is a cold, thankfully!

Michelle, I am so jealous ;) I hope you have a fabulous time there!!!

Amber, I am sorry the hag showed up. And there is good and bad to having longer and shorter cycles. WHen I am more stressed, I O early, and hten have a period as short as 22 or 23 days later. I'm never past 28 myself, but it can suck when trying to plan stuff and it keeps showing up so often ;)

Emily, I meant to say I gained 5 pounds of stress mostly since the D&C. I lost some weight at first and then it went on. I am lucky to have very low rise jeans (bought intentionally so when we TTC we could use them through the whole pregnancy) so the fat and the like doesn't keep me from wearing them so much :p
I wouldn't count the first few days of your body after the D&C though. I am sure like mine, yours went through a surge of hormones leaving the body. Hopefully you will be similar to me and my friend.. AF showed up more or less right on time.

Can someone tell me why I am not physically PMSing? My DH says I have to be based on my emotions ;) but I don't have sore bbs like normal and my cramping has been nearly non existant. I just hope that AF doesn't show up like she did last time... that was killer!

Rebecca PD for you... hopefully you will be buying hta maternity suit. Though you should think lik eme, buy a bikini so you can wear it all the time :rotfl:

Skuttle, never give up hope... when I was pg, I swore I was PMSing ;)

Michelle, I hope you are having a wonderful time!! Is it awful that I'm jealous and I haven't even been home from WDW a week?!?

Emily: DS did have a blast on the Barnstormer. Last trip he wasn't tall enough and this time he just made it. We went on it about 4 times, I think. I still can't believe I was able to get such a good picture of him during the ride!! I cut off DH, but DS looks adorable. :) For our trip, I think I packed enough jeans and shorts for an entire week each! LOL! I was so paranoid about the weather!

Thanks, Elaine. Today is CD 30. Last month AF arrived on CD32, so I should know something soon. I took a HPT on Monday and it was negative, so I'm not holding out too much hope. I'm trying to wait until CD32 to take another if AF doesn't show up. I'm she'll show up tomorrow or Saturday, though. I don't feel pregnant at all.

Rebecca, I really hope you get to buy that swimsuit! :goodvibes

And....it's a girl! A tall, long-legged girl! I'm thinking Katharine for a 1st name. I was going to use my RE's name as the middle name, but I want my last name in there somewhere. I'm on the fence about the 4 name thing.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: CONGRATS!!! :)

Even while we're trying, I have a doctor's appt to see an awesome doctor at the end of January to make sure things are functioning as they should be. I'm doing labs in a day or so, then my DH is doing his fun cup lab.

I'm actually very relieved to be going to a doctor that I actually KNOW....makes me put my mind at ease, and maybe we can figure out why things haven't happened yet.

However, he did say that it seems like I do not have any scarring from my d&c, so good news on that front!

Skuttle, I understand what you mean about not feeling pregnant. This was one of the first months that I knew for sure that I wasn't. AF just showed up about with a cycle of about 25 days. I'm normally just about 27ish days and considering how stressful the holidays were with my grandmother and the like, I am not shocked. I always ovulate early when stressed so I knew for sure this month was out just due to the BD schedule (or lack of). PMS was nearly non-existant this time which was odd, but I sure don't miss it.

Steph, good luck with the doc!

Ugh...I'm dreading tomorrow!

Today is CD31 for me. Last month, AF arrived on CD32. I O late (CD20) so my cycle is a bit longer. I feel like crap today...back pain, stomach doesn't feel right, etc. I'm sure it's PMS. I took a HPT on Monday and it was negative. Debating if I'll take one when I get home. I hate to have hope...then it just makes getting that BFN even worse! Sorry to be such a downer...

I just realized that a coworker is pregnant with her 2nd. She's really starting to show and I don't see her too often (our firm is huge). Then, at daycare, I ran into one of of the mom's of a kid DS's age...he used to go to the same daycare but the mom switched him due to her job. She had a baby girl in November. :( :( Then, today at a volunteer committee meeting, one girl announced that she would be active in the committe until about august because...you guessed it...she's pregnant. It took everything in me to put on a smile.

Big Hugs Skuttle!!!! :grouphug:

I know how you feel. But don't give up hope just yet for this cycle...you could still get a BFP. :wizard:

Don't give up Skuttle. Monday to Friday is a long time for something to change. If you O on cycle day 20, right? Then Monday was waaayyyy too early for a BFP.

Good Luck.

Thanks, y'all.

I had an equate test left over from last month...I took it and it's a BFN. I'm sure AF will arrive tomorrow.

Hi Guys...

I have been lurking on the thread and pop in regularly to check on all the TTC girls!! I just haven't had much to post lately.

ArizonaColby...I was so sorry about your news- glad to see you are trying again!

Exwdwcm...so happy you are going through IVF soon - fingers crossed for you! We will (as you know) have the same cycle. So baby dust to us!

Skuttle...I know that sinking feeling like you want to throw up when you are TTC and everyone around you is announcing they are pregnant - fingers crossed for you as well!

Carla...a GIRL -- yeah!! I love the name Katherine.

Elaine...thinking of you - hope you are well.

DisneyDreamer...stay positive -- a bfp will hopefully be coming soon.

Denae...thinking of you too - hope you are well.

Stepharoonie...good news on the no scarring! Good luck!!

Disneygirl...I know what you mean about irregular cycles -- when I was TTC (when I still thought that was a possiblity for me - before the POF diagnosis) it drove me crazy that one month was long and one month was short...it just makes it so hard to plan!

ImarriedGrumpy...good luck with the upcoming OPK and BD! I am hoping for a BFP for you soon!!

Everyone I missed - sorry!! Please know that while I am not posting too often anymore I am keeping up with everyone's progress (and highs and lows) and I am pulling for everyone for some BFP soon as if you were my sister!

As for me -- I am doing well. I have started my meds in anticipation of the donor's egg retreival and my IVF transfer the week of February 12th...so only one more month and then I will get to join you guys in the dreaded 2ww!

Frankly I just can't wait...I am so optimistic that the Donor is going to produce alot of eggs for us and that one (maybe 2!) will stick on the first try! I have such high hopes for February and for the IVF!

I am thinking of all of you and will talk to you guys soon!!!

((((Hugs))))

~Nicole

Hi all, I know I haven't been in much this week; I've been swamped with work and pre-trip stuff. 3 more days!

Michelle~ I hope you had fun with your friend and your show is going well.

Skuttle~ Af has been trying to visit me, hopefully she can't be in two places at once.

Stepharoonie~ I hope everythng goes well with all the testing. I need to get some of it done too, I'm just kind of scared to do it though.

Elaine~ Hope everything is ok with you, AF sucks but your that much closer to TTC again.

7Beasley~ the month will pass before you know it and you'll have a lovebug!

AzColby~ FF drives me crazy sometime. I know you want to play it safe so take protection, use it or not.... it' up to you but at least you'll have it. I'm going to WDW next week too. I'm taking a pair of jeans and maybe a pair of yoga pants but the rest is capris. I figured I'm mostly covered warm or cold. We should try to meet ip if you're interested. PM me and I'll send you my cell #.

Wishing BFPs for everyone this year and special souvineers for all those at WDW!

As for me, AF is trying to show. I didn't O this month and am ready for this cycle to be over. I figured I'd have AF while we're gone, So much for a second honeymoon..... Maybe she'll get here and be ready to leave by the time we get there.

The weather is being iffy here. They're saying it could be bad for early Tues when we're supposed to leave. I'm going to be very upset if we cant get out of town when we're supposed to leave.

Have a good weekend y'all!

Good luck, Nicole!! Feb will be here before you know it! My best friend was born on Feb 12, so to me it's a good day. :goodvibes

Thanks, Noni. I hope you have a great trip and that AF doesn't crash it!

Nothing new here. Today is CD32. Still no AF. This is my longest cycle so far...last month AF arrived on CD32. I took another test this morning...BFN. I assume if I was pregnant I would have had a BFP by now. I usually O around CD20. Don't know for sure because that was during our WDW trip and I wasn't temping. This is so frustrating! I just AF would hurry up and show up so I can get this over with.

Skuttle~ Not to continue keeping your hopes up but I had a friend who never got a BFP. Not on a home test or at the Dr's office. She was 20wks before they told her she was pg and they had to do an u/s to figure it out.

My sis was very irregular and never knew when/if she O'd so it was weeks before she suspected anything. I don't remember how far allong she was with DD#2 but with her twins she was at least 15 weeks. She found out in Jan and the boys were born on time in May. They were quite shocked, the babies are only 11 mos apart and it took them over 5 yrs TTC before they got pg the first time.

I hope AF stays far away from you! It'd be nice if she didn't visit me either but it looks like I have to go prepared to have her with us..... If she doesn't show while we're gone, I have to call and get a rx for provera when we get home.

Something similar happened with my neighbor. They were ttc for over 3 years, then got pg, and now have 2 little girls less than a year apart. And one couple in our cb class had been trying for 5+ years! There is hope for everyone! :thumbsup2
