I am dreading the glucose test- but I go to my Doc next week (I haven't seen him in 1 whole month!!! Which means, I haven't been hospitalized OR sick for 1 whole month- in my world, that's a mini-miracle
) I have read about people consuming JELLY BEANS instead of the glucose drink, and I am going to see if this is an option for me, especially since I'm 1) prone to vomiting anyway; and 2) I still have a hard time drinking stuff I LIKE, much less stuff that's nasty. I just don't know if I can do it.
Really, if the lab obliges, you could eat/drink anything with lots of sugar- the catch is that the lab has to know what the amount you are ingesting IS. So, some labs are letting women eat a set # of jelly beans (all sugar, no doubt) and then testing their glucose levels like that. Sounds much better to me!
Elaine- A ticker! I Love it!
Emily- I O'd on CD 13-14. But it can vary so much. Don't worry about your temps, just watch them. ANd I never had EWCM. EVER. I was so stressed about it- convinced I would be unable to get pregnant because of my inhospitable environment...
And, that's obviously not true. So, just keep temping at the same time, and pretty soon you'll look at your chart and see where your avgs are, and you'll notice when you are above them consistently. I HIGHLY reccommend the Ovusoft Software (it goes along with "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and you can buy it online (and download it) for about $40 or so- I loved that software. I plan on using it again if I ever think pregnancy is a good idea again).

That's what I get for failing the first 1 hour one.
DH tells me that he wants to pack all night tonight. Yuck!
Although it would have been darn funny to tell our child someday "you were conceived in a bunk bed at a camp near Malibu..."

That would be so traumatizing!
To everyone else.
So, my girlfriend and her boyfriend are going as McDreamy and Meredith, so DH is going as McSteamy and I am going as Addison.
Thanks for listening!
I wouldn't wish infertility on MOST people, but I have to admit to wishing at least a LITTLE bit of it on certain people. Mainly Senators who vote against mandatory coverage for infertilty. Part of me hopes some precious member of their family finds themselves in the situation of shelling out thousands of dollars for a family.
I know it sucks, but just focus on January- a fresh start to a new year and a pregnancy to look forward to! 2007 is going to ROCK!
