How many times have you had to do bloodwork and US? I'm hopefully going to do it this month, but an waiting for the silly doctor's office to call.

Hi Jen -

Nope, this is my 2nd IUI. I'm using Follistim injections daily (starting day 3 through about day 16 or 17). This month on day 11 they upped me to 100 units. Starting Day 3 I also go in every-other-day for bloodwork and internal ultrasound (my next pap will be a breeze!). Once the follicles are between 18-24mm, then I get an ovadrel shot, then in the next am for IUI. Week later I go for bloodwork again to determine if I need some extra help keeping my lining fertile for implantation, then a week later for bloodwork for pg test. I'm on day 14 today - not nearly as bloated as last month.

Last month was pretty stressful - trying to get all the meds delivered on time, figuring out what steps were next, scheduling all the dr appts. - as well as working full-time. Thankfully, my insurance pays for everything (exception of about $75-100/month in co-pay for meds).

Can I just tell you all how great this is to be able to share experiences!?! My boss asked a simple question yesterday about my schedule, and I ended up sharing WAY TOO MUCH about how my husbands sample is collected for IUI.

Am I the only one who is so desentizied to this that I have to share my most personal information with everyone now?

Flying Belle - I have to agree with you. If someone gives me an oppotunity to speak about what I know (since IF seems to be such a taboo topic around those fertile people, LOL), I go full boar. I have no shame. It's the life God handed me and I feel the need to make people aware of what is going on outside their little world :O)

Becky - looking at your chart, I bet you didn't implant until about 4 days ago with that dip, which would be why you have been getting BFN's. And lookie where persistance got ya!!!

Minnesota, I'm with you about telling people. A woman at my mom's office has been e-mailing me with questions since she's just starting her testing and prep for an IVF cycle. She's terrified, so I've been trying to help her be less scared and know what to expect. A guy at work and his wife are starting their testing and I've been talking to him and trying to calm him down - he's freaked out at his wife having to have all of these tests.

I have no shame. Once you've been in the ER having 4 or 5 doctors work the wand trying to see what's going on in there, it's not a big deal telling a male co-worker about your HSG.

OK- this has to be short ans sweet because I have got to leave for work.

Someone please look at my charts (last month and this month). PLease tell me my body isn't giving me false-hopes. Today is day 14 and still no sign of AF. I'm out of HPTs, so I can't test yet (mark is running to wal-mart so I can test on my lunch). I'm kinda freaking out. I really, really hope this isn't my body playing tricks on me.

Oy, ladies- what a crazy week. First week on the job AND now I'm officially preggers.

for all of your congratulations and warm wishes. You are my GIRLS!

DH about passed out.

So- today when I got home I ran to the bathroom and peed in a cup. Dipped the Equate test (went cheap in case it was a BFN again). Walked into the kitchen. Told DH we're supposed to wait 3 minutes. 1 minute (if even) later, I went back to the bathroom, and sure enough, there was a plus sign. I had to read it 10 times, "+ means pregnant..." ANd I screamed, "Holy sh*t!" Dh came running, and I screamed, "I'm actually PREGNANT!!"

I totally didn't think I was. Especially after all the BFNs, and testing too early, and refusing to analyze my "symptoms"- I just knew I wasn't. Oh well, guess it's good to be wrong sometimes!!! (Just in case, I did the other test in the pack, got another BFP!- hey, gotta double check things this big)

To all of you wonderful ladies still trying or in the 2ww, or even just waiting to ttc, I wish you much luck and love. Oh, and a little DIS baby dust never hurt!!!
