Beck,

I ovulated last week and I thought I was close to getting the egg white, but I really didn't. It never stretched to an inch or 10 inches like TCOYF mentioned :lmao: If it didn't happen this month maybe I'll try the mucinex thing too.

But did you read something about using REAL eggwhites if you aren't making your own.. I could just imagine THAT conversation with our DHs... :rotfl:

You know-that's probably my problem (I am sooooo bad about getting my water in). I'm perpetually dehydrated. I will start today. If I do get pg, I'll have to get into the habit of drinking lots of water, anyway.

I HAVE cut way back on caffeine (hard as that was for me :sad2: )

OMG!!!! :lmao: :lmao: When I read that I almost died!!! I can't even imagine!!! Yeah- Mark would veto that before I even explained myself. :rotfl2:

"Honey- lets scramble some eggs  style!" :rotfl2: :lmao: :smokin:

***WARNING**** DO NOT even think about doing this. I had a good friend that got a massive infection from using the real eggwhites. They sell some type of pasturized lubrication (pro-seed) that is suppose to work just like the eggwhites and you won't end up with samonella poisoning in a very....uh...sensitive place. :bitelip:

Do you cook the eggs first? I'd be afraid of some sort of bacteria. That would be my luck. I'd end up in the ER trying to explain myself.

Ha, Tiggersmom, you answered my question!

OMG, I am sitting here crying from laughing. MY son just walked over and is like, Mommy, what's so funny???

Yeah, the egg white thing would be pretty bag. Imagine, ....Next on 10:00 news, group of women rushed to ER for samonila poisoning in thier, woo-hoos..."

I would never do that... I'd do the Pro-Seed thing first. Good reminder about caffeine and water... Definitely too much caffiene, 3 diet cokes, chocolate and coffee every day is certaining not good for CM...

Must drink more water.....

I thought about buying the Pre-Seed stuff- but it's a tad expensive. Maybe if I don't get pg this month or next I'll try it.

MAYBE I'll drink more water, cut out caffiene, down lots of robitussin and try Pre-Seed- then I'll be a human slip'n'slide! :rotfl:

Becky....slip'n'slide.... :rotfl: Do you have your romantic ovulating weekend planned?

I have to go back tomorrow. Blah! Date with the wand and another attempt at literally draining blood from a stone. I need these appts to be at night so I can go drunk.

No- nothing romantic about this weekend, I'm sad to say.

Bd'd today before dh had to go to work. Tomorrow the inlaws are coming over to help us install an outdoor water faucet so I can finally have a hose (and thus be able to fill up the pool my grandma bought us last weekend!!).

Tomorrow morning, though, I think we are going to go to yard sales.

And, I just told my grandma a few minutes ago that it would be ok if she wanted to spend the night tonight. :guilty: I can't say no to my grandma. I could tell her that I'm ovulating tomorrow, though, and she'll stay at my aunt's house instead (Grandma is seriously rooting for me to get pregnant- I know- a lot of you must be thinking it's weird that my grandma and I talk about this stuff. :rotfl2: )

My temperatures are kinda wacky this month, though- that has me a little concerned. Last month they were very stable (96.7 or 96.8 almost every single day). This month, they look like a roller coaster from 96.5 to 97.1...

Oh well. Guess we'll see what happens.

The ultrasound went well one follicle over 10 mm on the right and 4 over 10 mm on the left. I start the hsg tommorrow night and iui on Sunday and Monday. Guess dh Kev gets to jerk off in the cup again.

ImarriedGrumpy - Since your DH is open to children, but not wanting all the "actively trying" stress, I would chart and just not tell him when you are fertile. Just try to BD once a week every week, then when you are fertile, add another BD. Sometimes men just don't want to know the details. It's not like you're tricking him or being dishonest, you're just letting him go with the normal flow of things.

Syrreal - Congratulations!! H&H 9 months.

Carla - Ouchie. I have one good vein in my left arm. Luckily the phlebotomist was fantastic and she got it there everytime without clotting or hurting. Hope those lagging follies catch up!

Becky, other things to try to increase good CM are eating baby carrots and drinking grapefruit juice and of course tons of water.

Tiggersmom is right, real eggwhites could give you an infection. Pre-seed is spendy, but it's the best thing to use to give yourself more inviting fluid for the spermies.

Lisa, has your DH described the masterbatorium to you? My DH couldn't stop laughing. I got the lowdown on the magazine selection and a detailed description of the recliner with the roll of papertowels bolted to the side. :lmao: Glad you've got some good follies cookin'. GL!

Actually I have been with him a couple of times--How do you think I kee up with the current issues of Playboy???? :teeth:

Yea!! Grandma stayed at Aunt's house. Told her I was ovulating this weekend- she decided to give us some space!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Becky and Lisa you have me rolling over here between grandma staying at auntie's and dh jerking in the cup... :rotfl:

OMG - I'm sitting at work, and I think I just spit watermelon all over the room!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Of all the conversations I've ever had with my grandmother, ovulation was not one of them. And now I can just picture someone trying to seperate an egg yolk, and then using the egg whites. All I can picture is the Easter egg dye when it makes the inside of an egg a funny color.......

Carla, good luck with all of the bloodwork. It's definitely not fun. I decided long ago that I would make a lousy diabetic. I could never stand all of the needles.

Lisa - at least they let you DH do it at the office. When my DH had to do the deed, they gave him the cup and told him to do it at home, and just to make sure the sample was at the lab within 1/2 hour. That probably works well for people who live close. Unfortunately, we live 45 minutes from the hospital. So you either drive really fast afterwards (and immediately afterwards), or find some place on the way there to take care of business. I felt so bad for DH

Becky, hopefully this was the weekend. Happy 2ww to you!

I guess I'm doing the whole 2ww myself. Now I have myself talked into not feeling really well, etc. Probably more because I'm wicked tired than anything else though. Our new puppy only sleeps about 4 hours, and then needs to go out to pee. Why does he think when he wakes up at 4am and wants to go out, that it is now time to play? Oh well, he's a great dog otherwise.

Have fun today kids!

Jen

Jen, we had the same problem with the analysis! Plus, the places only accepted them during working hours: 7am-2pm M-F. We called every lab within 2 hours of our house and they were all that way. Very annoying. I never went with DH - although, he tells me the "room" at NEMC is very nice. :thumbsup2 At my last retrieval, they took DH to the "room" and my off to pre-op. We ran into each other in the hall and I said, "Wow, done already?! You're awesome!" He told me no, they just couldn't find the key. I said, "Oh....nevermind...." :lmao: Then, he told me at the lab, there was a sign on the door that said if you can't produce, to let the receptionist know. She was about 90 years old! If that's not motivation, I don't know what is!

I got a day off today! Yesterday went well....good follicles, blood looks good, dose was lowered to 75iu. I go back tomorrow again. My biggest follicles were 15.9 (there were 3 of those), so I might be ready to pop tomorrow and my surgery might be Wednesday! I'm so excited. Bring on the Versed! I hope it's soon....I'm so uncomfortable. Even sitting down hurts. :guilty:

So, who is in the 2ww? Do we have a list going of people in the 2ww to keep track?

My Nana wouldn't even know what I was talking about if I told her I was ovulating. She probably would have thought it was some sort of freakish act and yelled at me. :rotfl:

The 4400 is coming back tonight! Oh, and it's Baby Week on Discovery Health. :goodvibes

Carla :yay: congrats on the behaving follies :yay: Here's some baby dust for you in hopes that you're able to go in Wednesday for the procedure. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

So if your best follie is 15.9 how good is that? What's the best number you can have?

That's awesome!! I hope everything goes well. Versed is great, isn't it? Even if you can remember what happened, you really don't care.

Sign me up for the 2ww list....... I've got my fingers, toes, and every other crossable body part crossed that this will be that last one (for this baby anyways :)

Jen

Kevin did it today at home because of Diana. Since my father and aunt do not know that we are doing the iui; my aunt thinks we are just trying there was no one to leave Diana with. The iui went okay I guess. My cervix is up very high so they have to use a snowman smecimian (sp) It took awhile but it was okay. Tomorrow I have a double header an iui and a pap smear. Yeah!!!!!! :thumbsup2
