This it Off topic again, but I have a concern...
Today at work when I opened up my e-mail, I got an e-mail saying "you have a private message from the Dis Unplugged Team"
The only thing is...
I'M NOT REGISTERED WITH THEM ON MY WORK E-MAIL!!
I'm very concerned that there's a security problem and now I'm going to get in trouble at work if I got a virus or something...
Did anyone else get this private message today???

oh ok... but how did it come to my work e-mail?? I'm really concerned there's a security flaw with the Disboards. I never gave them my work e-mail.

Dznylvr, go double check what e-mail you have listed just in case. I doubt there is a security issue though as that e-mail was only sent out if you requested it for PMs. I have a few different e-mails listed here and didn't get one.
Also if you are very concerned ask Mary Jo (just PM her) as she is a super nice super mod here. Tell her I sent ya

As for OPKs, I have no idea... I have heard people do get postive OPKs for more than one day but I never used htam and have no idea what is right.

The e-mail notification was for a PM only, correct? I got the same PM this morning, but I don't request any e-mails for notifications of the PM. It is a default setting they have and you have to uncheck it in order not to receive e-mails about PMs.

I would seriously double check your e-mail though (from the quick links, click on "Profile" then "E-mail and Password"). To change the settings on the e-mail notifications period, just do the same but instead of Profile go to Edit Options. Halfway down, you'll see all teh options for Private Messaging.

Not trying to say you did anything wrong, but as a techie it is pretty much impossible that this is any kind of security issue. You can't just associate two totally different e-mails and usernames like that.

If your e-mail is wrong, seriously, do PM Mary Jo. She is nice and very helpful here.

Thank you for the response....I looked where you said and I think I THINK they must have found my "VCARD" at my work e-mail. It's not checked off in the profile, but since it was sent by the Dis unplugged, they probably just decided to use my work e-mail. I hope that's all it was.

Actually honestly that is not even possible for them to get your Vcard, unless you send them an e-mail from that work e-mail itself. They can't just hack or find it as easily as you think. Really we are techie people here and I ran it by my DH who said there is nothing to worry about. Most likely it was accidentally changed at one point going through the profiles yourself.

I didn't quite catch it, which e-mail was listed in your profile? There is no way for them to hack that one the way you are thinking. Trust me

too weird... I never never NEVER gave them my work e-mail EVER!!!!
Webmaster Kathy told me to PM her and she will check the database. Like I said, I'm on Disboards at work all the time. I hope soemthing bad didn't happen. I'm been getting lately spam e-mail at my home and my job. The same spam e-mail. That concerns me!!

WM Kathy should get you straightened out. I can say pretty much certainly that the DIS wouldn't be able to hack the way you are thinking though. The only other thought is somehow does any of your e-mails get forwarded to work? The e-mail in your profile is associated with your username. THAT is the e-mail that will give you your PM notifications. If it isn't your work e-mail in the profile then something beyond the DIS is going on IMO.

I've finally heard back from all of my friends and I cried while reading each email. Two out of three were "mad" at me for keeping it all in and feellig like I couldn't tell them. I explained that it wasn't that I didn't want to tell them, but I kept hoping I wouldn't have to...that I'd get pregnant. Telling them makes it more real. But with my appt TOMORROW, this is about as real as it gets! They understood, but I think they were still mad at me.

One of my friends is adopted, and she told me everything her mom went through before deciding to adopt. She mentioned that everything happens for a reason, and if her mom hadn't had fertility problems, they wouldn't have adopted her and she may not be in my life now. I think I know in my heart that everything happens for a reason, but right now I just don't see it.

So my dr's office called yesterday to confirm my appt. When I saw their number pop up on my cell, I was SO scared that they were going to push back my appt again. I think I would have broke down on the phone and freaked out! Luckily that wasn't the case! My appt is at 11:20am...not the best time in the world, but they had pushed it back once so I didn't have much of a choice. AF seems to be completely gone now, so at least that worked out.

DS has his first soccer practice tonight. He is very excited and so am I. It's going to be so funny to see a bunch of 4 years old running around trying to play soccer. The first game is next weekend.

Good morning everyone! Two days and counting before vacation! I don't think I have ever been this excited about vacation before. Last year at this time I was tearing my hear out because my whole family was so ugly all the time. This year we are all getting along so much better - and I think vacation is going to be the cherry on top.

I'm off to see my regular doctor at 2:15. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection and I can't tolerate the burning sensation any longer.

Oh Chelle....honestly the only way for me to rebound like this is to know that I will be a mother one day. It may not be a natural pregnancy or even a pregnancy at all...but I will be a mom.

The 10 day supply of medication to get AF to stop worked . It started to slow down and by day 14 was almost completely gone.

My actual AF (with cramps and soreness) started up last Saturday evening and by Tuesday night, got heavy . Usually by this time it starts slowing down, but b/c my cycles have been off it's doing just the opposite. I'm just hoping it ends by Sunday. We're going to up-state NY to visit my mom on Saturday and we have plans to go swimming on more than one day.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm a little scared that this won't stop and I'll have to call my gyn again for another Rx (besides ruining any chance for a nice swim). Can someone put my mind at ease?

I just started back on the glucophage last night. I forgot how much the first few days stunk last time Oh well, I'll be used to it soon enough. When we were TTC with Christopher, DH was always a but freaked out about how much stuff we had to do (bloodwork, SA, temps, Clomid). This time, now that I don't really want to get into all that so soon, he wants to know when I will start it up again. Funny how his opinion changed once he had his son, and wants another!

I wonder if you had a chemical pregnancy last time? Did your doctor mention it? I wanted to mention the possibility before, but I didn't want to upset you.

We are going to Lake George on vacation. Maybe I will see you around!

I bet your period will slow down shortly. I expect mine next week, and called to ask my Dr. to prescribe an extra month of BC so I can skip it. DH is very happy. I don't have any problem swimming while I have my period, though.

I called my RE regarding the high LH surge for 4 days in a row. the RN was not very helpful. She said "Just go get the progestone test anyway" DUH!!! WHY!! it will be low since I'm 100% sure I didn't O!!!! I asked... "What could this be?" her response "I dont know"
GRRR!! Why do I still have high LH??? I know I don't have PCOS.. That I know is a cause for constantly high LH.
The other cause is pre-mature menapause. I will DIE if that's the reason. I'm a little freaked cause when I found out I am a carrier for fragile X, that is a symptom. Early menapause.

20 total follicles....8 ready for retrieval, with 5 more that they will try to retrieve from.

US tech & nurse guessed that tonight will be trigger night, but I am waiting for the official call.

Allison best wishes for you with the doctor's appt. I know it also can be hard to see how things are meant to be for a reason. It took me a LONG time to get there with a lot of soul searching (and for me) prayer.

Cybrktn, I honestly have no experience with that. Did your doc run any blood tests last time to see what was going on (other than pregnancy)?

Jen, isn't it cute how men can change their mindsets? My DH was 100% against adoption, now after watching how hard everything has been on me, he's ready to do it if I want.

Dznylvr, glad you got it figured out. My DH was pretty sure that was all that could have happened. I'm admin on another forum and it is harder to hack than you think (not that I've tried)
As for the other, good luck with it. I would ask to talk to your doctor at this point or switch to a new doctor.
