Any opinions on Aloha dinner show?

We did the show last May and just loved it! Great food and great entertainment. My 9 yr old daughter asked to go back and do that again as we are leaving tomorrow! However, we won't have time but would without a doubt, do it again! Great memories!

Bleeps,

when in December did you go?? Our trip is scheduled from 12/12-12/19 and I am worried about it being too cold. How was the weather for you?? Do they cancel the show because of cold weather. I am used to the cold being from the north but I don't want to freeze the tushie off, lol.

We were there 12/10 and were very comfortable (jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts for when the evening got chilly). My understanding is that they cancel because of rain but I do not believe they cancel for cold. The seating area is covered (enclosed at the rear, open slightly at the sides and wide open at the front) so it doesn't feel "exposed." I wouldn't worry about the weather, personally -- just have your jackets handy if you need them!

Also I wonder how true it is that you get better seats the earlier you call in 2002 I know I made reservations like 2 weeks ahead of time and we had great seats. Same thing in 2004 I made the ressies about a month ahead of time and had good seats.

When our CM walked us right up to the front row, center, to seat us, DH looked at me and said, "wow, honey, what did you do to get us these great seats?!" and the CM piped right up and said, "she must have called a year in advance since we assign specific seats based on when you make your reservation!" So, yes, it was true that I DID call on the earliest date that I could, and the CM was quite serious in the way he said it. It's not to say that there might not be cancellations or opportunities based on slow nights (or that they might have done it differently in the past), but I do believe I am correct in saying that the earlier you call, the better chance you have of getting good seats.

So I have decided to attend the early show, not just have to make up my mind what day to attend. We are planning on going to MVMCP also. We arrive on tuesday afternoon, going to play putt-putt that night. So I am thinking wednesday we will attend the luau show and thursday we will go the christmas party. Do you know what does days the luau show are on- I read somewhere previously that this show runs tuesday through saturday.

I do believe that was the case in December -- no shows Sundays or Mondays.

When I was there the second show was cancelled on a few nights because of the temperature. It was so cloudy that we could not see the MK fireworks from the Polynesian - but it was not raining.

We went in 2003, it was very good.

Thinking of going agian, but the only thing that worries me is that we are a couple and I think it will mean sharing a table, has anyone done this?

My sister and I have gone alone, and they have tables for just 2 people (you're very close to other people, but you get your own food and about a foot or so between you and the table next to you)

I also had a table for two.

Thats good news :) We sat on the raised bi at the back last time and they looked like larger tables towards the front.
