It all depends on what they find when they delve in! so to speak. The thing that makes its harder it my back, as I have adhesions near to my spine. Oh well

Hello everyone - just checking in. Yes, as spring arrives we get very busy around our house, too. Sports, music lessons, etc.

Our 19th wedding anniversary is on the 19th of this month, Grandma's keeping the kids overnight this weekend. Then, the whole family's heading to the beach, Hilton Head, South Carolina, in two weeks for spring break - we are all so ready for some time off!

Hi Helen - Hope your recovery is going well. You'll have to give us an update when you're feeling better! I pray that the surgery takes care of all your pain and you feel like a new woman soon!

Flo - How's baseball going? Is the team having a good year so far?

Valerie - Just think - May will be here very soon, and you'll have a break from your studies. Some pixie dust to you, too.

My cousin's family is headed on the Wonder week after next. I am really sad we're not going, too. But, we were not very fond of snorkeling and swimming when the water was so cool in the Bahamas. We did prefer the water in July on the Magic.

Happy Anniversery! Have a grat time this weekend

Two weeks at the beach that sounds os nice right now! The weather hear can not decide what it is doing. Just the other day it was 75 now it is 34. But I havve lived here my whole life and I am (shall we say) used to it.

Baseball is not going so good for the team. We have not won a game yet. They keep getting close, so I am hoping soon. I feel bad for them. Steven is on spring break starting on Good Friday but because of baseball he only gets to come home for Saturday and Sunday then back to school. They have games that week.

Hope all is well with evyone else. And if the kids are in sporst all is going well.

I have just recieved a beautiful basket of flowers, with the message I hope you are feeling better & wanted you to know I am thinking of you and sendig prayers. However the card was not signed. I have phoned the florists and they stated that it was a flowers direct order and the person did not leave a name.
I believe it is from one of my American friends as it was addressed Helen Jobba I just wanted to thank whoever it was from the bottom of my heart. They have cheered up my bedroom and I am really enjoying them.

If it is indeed one of you please send me a PM so I know who to thank.

Dave and I have just finished watching Desperate Housewives, the episode where Gabby keeps recieving presents from Zach. Perhaps I have my very own zach?

Mom Update - Great news for my mom! She has lost 100+ pound because of her radiation treatments which we found out did nothing to help her tumor. But the tumor is inert right now so we are okay.
Here's the good news. She is going to get a tummy tuck, a breast lift, and an underarm tuck and it is all covered by insurance!!! Unbelievable! She gets to go to this fancy hospital who has their food catered by Wolfgang Puck and has big screen TV's in every room. WooHoo!!

I know what you mean about sitting in the stands and watching. You see there faces (at the college age I think it is worge) and your heart goes out to them. But for are team I think it is a learning experience. All there coaches are young. Only one of them is over 25 (like 26). This is there first coaching experience. I hope we win a game soon. We have 4 this weekend. Allot of traveling for me. I think this will help them. But as I have said before as long as you are having fun that is all that matters. Tell that to college kids(they look at me as if I am nuts)!
That is great news about your mom . Sound like a beautiful place. You will have to take some pictures and post. She will know how the stars feel. Good for her!

Valerie -- that is fabulous news! I would love to have a tummy tuck and a reduction and lift but mine won't be covered and I'm also chicken! I have gross rippley skin after losing all my weight, but I'm trying strivectin to see if that helps any. I'm sending more prayers the tumor shrinks and goes away!

I forgot to tell you guys....
My boys and I watched the Pirates 3 trailer! It came out on Monday. You can see it at disney.com. We dissected it and talked about the movie all night. We can't wait for May 25th. We are thinking about going to Disneyland to see the stars walk down the red carpet at the premiere.

Also....Dan went to spring training in Arizona and saw James Denton throw out the first pitch. So he got his autograph for me on a baseball of course! It says, "To Valerie, James Denton, Desperate Housewives". He plays Mike.
Woohoo!

Flo - We went to the webcam at Downtown Disney in the Anne Geddes shop and said hi to Carla and her family live! We held up signs. It was so fun. So there is a webcam where they vacation so we are hoping to see them on it.

Marci - Better ripply skin, then fat. Right?

I am continuing to do good. Although I had a very bad weekend painwise, however on Monday the doc came and perscibed a different set of tablets and since then things are progressing.

I have to remember to take it easy, as simple things really tire me. However I am spending a lot of time reading my travel guide books and I'm getting very excited about my cruise.

Val, IM so pleased your mum is doing well. Marci and Flo thanks for your good wishes.

I am getting there thanks - Im doing good - so good that I have to remind myself to take it easy as I know when I've over done it.

Its funny my bed is covered with guide books, leaflets, maps, emails you name it. I've spent a lot of the last week lying there planning my (sorry our ) 4 nights in Barcelona. yes Im getting very excited.

However this year I have put my foot down and told Dave that there would be No Disney Amnesty !

You know how we were planning to go to WDW for Chritmas in 2008, Well Dave has said this How about going next summer? I then said well we might be able to do a 3 / 4 night cruise on wonder - amd he said yes but that depends on how many points so I am waiting impatiently for the DVC 2008 cruise points to come out - Im also contimplating rebooking when we are on the med

Helen - Glad you are getting better! I know it is hard to just lie in bed. But at least you have something to do and look forward to.

I also wanted to share with my DIS Friends a bet of news. Steven got a summer internship in his field! I am so happy for him and so proud of him. He will work there for the 3 months that he is home. It could turn into a full time job after he graduates next you. But if it does not it looks good on a resume.

There is one sad part. I think we are going to cancel are July 2007 trip to SSR. I do not think he will be able to take off. That is not a good start for a job. We don’t want to go with out him either. He wants to go there just as much us. So we were thinking we are going to look into a 4 day cruise over the summer. We will see. Or maybe do a cruise out of CA in 2008.
