My DH is amazed that we all still correspond....what a great group of people from all over the world!

Sorry haven't been around much lately. Our new Maui store is opening Feb. 16th so its been hectic to say the least.

Then...trying to keep up with the Mexico Riviera cruise info and the new DVC AKV ( Animal Kingdom Villas) and baseball season, etc. Sure would be great to be on another Disney cruise right now relaxing and having a tropical drink!

On top of that all...Justin broke his toe and is hobbling around and out for first 1/2 of baseball season. Sometimes you feel like

Helen -- congrats on the weight loss! You GO girl! I love Grey's, and missed it this past week.

I had a friend on the DDA thread that asked me two weeks ago to go on their girls weekend to Disney last weekend. She owns DVC so I used miles for my flight, my AP and only paid for food and souvenirs. There were three of us, and we flew from NY, GA and TX to have girl time. Only two of us had ever met face to face before, but we've been DISing for two years now. I don't think I've ever done a girls trip except with the girls in my family. It was a great time to "feed my soul" as my boss put it.

Jen -- sorry about Justin's toe. That is so disappointing! Good luck on the Maui store. Are you guys still going on the spring break cruise? We had a call from DCL about our Inventory Control request, but I can't decide what to do about next summer.

Helen - Keep updating us! Way to go! I need to get inspired. I have been very successful with WW in the past. My 20 yr. reunion is this summer (so we're the same age Jen!) and Dan and I are touring Italy with our orchestra. Got to shed some pounds!!

Hello Everyone!

Yes Marci I am getting very excited about are spring trip. I can not wait to get to some warm weather. The wind chill is below 0 here. But I have lived here long enough to know that can change from day to day. I am also looking forward to seeing baseball being played.

SOund like you had a great time with the girls. I think we all need that once in a while. For you it was a perfect time.

Valarie, I agree with Helen, is it going to be a get away for you and Dan? DO tell please!

Jen, how is Justin's toe doing.

I am not even in FL yet and I am planing for the baseball trip to St. Louis the week end after we get back. I am the go between the parents and the coach so that he does not get e mail after e mail with the same question.

Well, I'll tell you about our trip and then you can decide whether it will be romantic or not!!

Dan is the assistant conductor for a youth symphony. So he conducts and plays trumpet for them. I help out by playing oboe. So....he gets to go on tour for free. I have to pay but that's okay!
So we go with about 40 kids from age 10-20 and some parents. We play concerts in all the cities we visit. So at times it's romantic at times it's hectic. But who can pass up a trip to Italy??
Two summers ago we traveled with this group to Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna. It was incredible. Both Dan and I have traveled with orchestras before and you do get treated very well. It was so funny because when we would tour the palaces, etc. Dan and I would push up to the front to hear all the history because the kids really didn't care much.
This tour will take us to Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan. I am now toying with the idea of staying longer and going to Cinque Terre.

My wonderful mother watches the boys and she is planning to take them to Oregon while we are gone. Last time we were gone was the first summer we had our pool and when we got home, Nicholas was in a neck brace!! AAAHHHH! But my mom handles everything perfectly so we never have to worry.

As a side note my orchestra travels have taken me to China, Japan, and Hong Kong, Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg. The highlight was traveling to New York and playing in Carnegie Hall and the United Nations. I celebrated my 22nd birthday in the United Nations lobby while people from all over the world watching us sang me Happy Birthday!!!

Valerie, that sounds like a fun but busy schedule. When do you go?

Well I need to check things out - but I think I might have won a weeks holiday in Spain. A couple of weeks ago when Dave and I went away for the weekend we went to a travel / holiday exibition. Well as we went round I filled in the free competitions and this week I had a phone call from a guy saying I'd won a holiday. There are 3 resorts in Spain to choose from and I have the use of an apartment that sleeps 6 people. I am always very sceptical and have heard stories about bad time share experiences so I am not counting my chickens yet until I've checked every thing out. But it will be nice if I have won.

When I told Dave his reply was - What we going to Spain again - that will be 3 times this year LOL

Hope you are all well - Im getting excited for my holiday to Marbella - I've been checking out the weather there and its around 18 19 degrees C which is great as its 4-7 here

brrr -7 thats cold. Hope it warms up for you soon.

Not sure how this week will be for my diet as i've had a lot of trouble with my endo and I could'nt work out . I've tried though despite the pain. Will let you know the results tomorrow.

Ive had a couple of texts from my friend who is working in Miami - she says its mad there because of the superbowl - I think you and Tif were wanting a particular team to win so Good lUck to them!

Flo -- that is terribly cold. This is the coldest winter I can remember in many years. We've finally gotten out of the 20s, 30s and 40s here. This southern gal has been freezing!

They are saying that with the wind chill here it could be as bad as 25 below. This is till Tuesday. I have lived here long enought to know how the weather changes here. I was also surprised on how cold it was in Texas.

Flo - That last cold snap we got was in the 30's at night. I know, boo hoo, right? Well, sorry for this - today we are going to be in the 80's!!

Flo and Helen - We are going to Italy the end of July when it's supposed to be the hottest on record.

That Super Bowl in the rain was something! Really fun to watch. Sorry about the Bears Tif.
