My hat goes of to you. You have got to be exausted when all is said and done. for the tournment. Hope all goes well.
This week at baseball is senior day! That is going to be a hard one. We have been with the parents and kids for 3 years. Next year is going to even be worse for me because that is it for me and baseball.
My arm is fine. It is starting to get all those pretty colors. It is also biger then I thought. I also have red marks from the threads of the baseball. But at least this time it was not Steven!

Wow! Flo!! I am so sorry about the baseball. I had one whiz by me the other night. Scary. I am glad you are all right!

Marci - Your schedule sounds like mine! Today both boys said when we got in the car, "Where are you taking me?" So sad. I'm either taking Nicholas to therapy (we found out that his calves are so tight he walks on his toes), taking them to Dan's school so I can get to school, or karate, or to get my allergy shot, or........Ugh!

We just had Nicholas' 10th birthday party. He draws these creatures called "Thingys" and he has even created several books of them that he sells for "scholar dollars" at school. (I'll try to post a picture sometime.) Anyway, that was the theme for the party. I ironed on some "Thingys" to shirts and we gave them away as gifts. Marci, I should have asked you how to do it. We had 14 kids in the pool at once but luckily I had a lifeguard watching!

It's crunch time for us....baseball games, open house for me, papers due for my masters, birthdays for both boys, mom's surgery, etc. Looking forward to July!!

Lisa, You have got to post a picture of you in the robe with your cat!!

Lisa - so sorry about your job - times have really changed in the job world. Gone are the days of job security. Hope you are really able to put your time and energy into following your dream job!

Flo, Helen - Hope you both are feeling better.

Valerie - Addison would love to see a photo of the "thingys". Nicholas is so creative! Hope he had a great birthday - but sorry about his therapy. How long will he have to continue going?

Addison is in a bright green cast - broke her arm playing at a friend's house on some logs in the back yard. Both girls start swim team practice next Monday, so the cast will be interesting. (not to mention guitar lessons are definately on hold!)

We are counting the days - only 4 weeks till school is out for summer!!

We're headed to Yellowstone & Jackson, WY for our summer trip in June. This is a first, so anyone that's been, I would LOVE suggestions and recommendations! (no cruise this year)

Well Im still off work as I've had a few complications with my bowel, but I am starting to feel much better. Today was the 90 day mark for my med cruise so I've been making my excursions and Palo reservations. Thankfully I got everything I wanted so Im really pleased. Infact Im really excited.

Hello friends!!!

Just wanted to check in for a brief hello. It sounds like there are good things going on for everyone! How exciting! Baseball, internships, healing...cruise plans!!!! WOW!!! Just know that while I haven't written much, I think of you all daily and keep you in my prayers. You will never know the strength and comfort you give simply by being out here. Funny thing is, I know deep down that if anything should happen...I could clue you all in and you would be here for me in an instant!!!

all of us are healthy and doing well! don't know if I told you that tom's team...iain's team, won their diocesan title! hard fought and hard won! abby had a successful season. iain is running grades school track and doing fine. abby has again taken a sport by storm. she made varsity and is the anchor leg for the 4x400M relay. She is doing high jump as well as the 100M and 300M hurdles! She has Conference this weekend, and has a good shot at making some big noise for the 300M hurdles! Alec is simply still Alec.

I will have to tell you all about our last drive down to Florida sometime! I took the nightmare for everyone for the next few years!! Actually Tom is insisting on us flying the next several trips he felt so guilty for all we went through!

Hi all...update for Conference...

Abby took third in the 100M hurdles, won her leg of the 1600M relay, and WON the 300M hurdles with a time of 50.3! It was amazing! She definitely gets the crowd going!

We've had so much rain/thunderstorms lately that we haven't played baseball or soccer in a while. Andrew had a bad tournament weekend before last, but neither of them have played in over a week. When I went to bed last night it was 81, with the forecast of rain every day with potential storms. When I got up this morning, it was 81 degrees with the same forecast. Ugg!

Hey Marci...good luck with the rain and yuck! I know exactly what you mean. We have had so much rain and cold that I had a perpetual cold/flu for about three and a half weeks...they didn't cancel any track meets! UGH! When will you be heading to Hawaii??? We are thinking about it for Iain's grade school graduation gift.

Yes Marci baseball is over . I don't know what I am going to do with my weekends. I am sure going to miss it. We won some games so I am happy. How are the boys doing?

Tiff and Marci, heading to Hawaii in 2008? No one wants to do a West cost cruise with me? WIll miss you all.

I have some good news. Keep your fingers crossed. I talked to Steven's coach on Sunday. I asked him were we are going for spring break. I was sooo excited when he told me were we may be going. TO Disney for there tournment!!! It took everyting for me to hold my excitement in. I have points that I have to use by then with DVC and we can stay there.

Hi Ladies -

I was just thinking of you, Helen, when I saw that the Med repo cruise set sail today. It's not long now till your turn - I can only imagine how excited you must be!

Addison has been in her cast for 4 weeks on Wednesday. They promised to remove it and she will get to wear the temporary brace for a few more weeks. She has done very well - thank you all for asking.

Flo - I'll bet it really feels like you're missing something when the baseball season ends.

I'm sitting here on Mother's Day finishing up a paper of course for one of my master's classes. It never ends.

Sorry baseball is over, Flo. We have our last game on Wed. which will determine whether or not we are in last place or one up from that. Oh well. Then we start the tournament. Nolan hit a ground rule double the other day to win the game and Nicholas continues to be the best pitcher in the league so that's good.

My mom's surgery is on June 15th for her tummy tuck and then her next one for her arms and breasts is on Aug. 22nd. She will be so tiny after that. I have been working out about 4X a week to try to trim down so I won't look huge compared to her! I haven't lost any weight but I am getting much firmer. It takes FOREVER!!

Carla - glad Addison will be out of the cast. We would love to see a picture! We will still be sending you a "Thingy" book soon.

Nolan's 8th birthday party is next Sunday. It's a pirate theme of course. I took our menu from pirate night on the cruise, cut out the middle, covered up the word dinner and used it for the invitation. Then I wrote a song to the tune of the pirates ride. The chorus is "Yo ho! Yo ho! Nolan's party is here!" Then I put a whole bunch of pictures of him around the song. It was 11X17 because of the menu so I took it and shrunk it and color copied it. It turned out super cute! Now I just have to think of some fun pirate games.

Wish me luck....I'm so busy I have to look at my date book at lunch to see what I am doing after school. Crazy!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Hope you are all enjoying your day! Things here have been okay...more like any other Sunday really. Tom and I switch in general...nobody is on the golf course on Mom's Day so I send them out to play! The thing was that I was to get Father's Day, but that is always a day for a tournament that the kids play in. After this summer though...all three kids will be too old for it. So this will be our last.

Well, track season has ended for us. Abby did well at Sectionals but is not moving on to State. Saw some amazing races. A sub 11minute 3200M, a 4 minute flat 4x400M relay!!! and a 45.1 second 300M hurdle!!! Abby is sitting right at 50 seconds for that race. It was amazing to watch the gal that went 45 sec.! We also saw a 2:09 800M!!! Very impressive. Iain had his parochial meet and took second in the 4x100 relay, and firsts in the long jump, 4x200M relay, 4x400M relay, and the 400M! I am surprised at how sad I am. Probably feeling like a baseball mom! The thing that meant so much to me was how inclusive these girls were for Abby. A much safer and more encouraging environment than basketball!!!


The pirate birthday party sounds wonderful! My goal is to do a party when At World's End comes out on DVD! I found great invites at Mouse Surplus...check out eBay stores!!! Anyway, thought it would be fun! You have to send us all the YO HO lyrics you did for Nolan!!! How cool! Keep up with the toning! You will be so happy you do.

I did absolutley nothing today. I took a 2 hour nap. It was great. This is the first weekend with out basebell. Steven comes home from school in 2 weeks. I can not believe that when he goes back he is a senior!! I do not know were the time has gone.

Valerie -- congrats to Nolan and Nicholas on their baseball achievements! The invitation and prep for Nolan's party sounds awesome! I'd love to see pic from the party! Are all your papers done for this semester? Congrats on toning up. I so need to do that. I've been able to keep the weight off I lost when Mom was in the hospital, but I'm so flabby now. Happy Memorial Day weekend! Thanks to all who have had family serve!!!!

The boys and I are at the Florida house right now. Snow days have creamed Abby and she is stuck at home...with finals ending June 7th!!! This is the first year she has ever been in school in June...ever!

Boys and I did Dining with Shamu tonight and it was nice! We are doing POTC3 tomorrow morning! Then 2nd birthday party for their golf coaches son! Busy day!

Did get bad news in the last week...hard to believe it has only been a week. My dad ended up with colon cancer...and they removed the transcending. It is malignant, was found in the blood vessels but not the lymph nodes. The worse side is that it is stage 3. They cannot find out if it has metastisized until he heals from the surgery...4-6 weeks. They will also be starting chemo at that time. Prayer is our best medicine, and I know how good you guys are!

Tif -- I'm so sorry for the bad news. I'm sending lots of prayers and PD to your Dad and his doctors, and of course to you.

Have fun with your boys. We've done dining with Shamu for the last few years when we do San Antonio over Labor Day, and it is a lot of fun. We always seem to learn something new. Poor Abby -- hope it goes by quickly for her.

Who saw PIRATES III this weekend? Some parts I really enjoyed, others were a bit odd. Interesting enough, I actually really liked Cpt Barbosa, Geoffrey Rush's character this time. He was great! Cpt Jack and Will were also looking fine, again. I won't say too much more - don't want to be a movie spoiler.

Addison had a set-back with her arm. There was still some concern when they removed the cast, so she got another and is wearing it 2 more weeks. We're hoping it comes off by the end of this week.
