Hi, Lisa. Are you getting excited about your next cruise? It will be here before you know it!

Yes - I can't believe that DH is actually really excited about it (as excited as he can be for Disney) and has read the Passporter cover to cover. I, of course, am think - what are you nuts - the holidays will be here before you know it and I have to worry about so many little details....

Okay...

My top three...Wicked. The Scarlett Pimpernel. Then I have trouble....

Jekyll and Hyde or Les Mis or Phantom or Blast???? I am not sure. I have not seen Mama Mia and would love to. There are so many good shows out there. Have heard wonderful things about Mary Poppins and We Will Rock You. Also, would like to see Tarzan. So many choices....so little time!

What are your other favs?

Don't worry too much about the little stuff. Amazingly it will get done. When do you leave??? Have so much fun. We had an email yesterday from our friend at the port who is going Nov. 4 and was looking to see if we could sail as well. :sad2: That is the first weekend of boys basketball and I need to be there!!! So...go and have a ball so we can all feel like we are with you!!!! :)

Thanks! We aren't actually leaving Philly until 12/28 - DH wants to go to Kennedy SC - so kids will have to "suffer" :rotfl: the educational aspect of Dad's interest. We sail on 12/30. Thanks for the good thoughts - I hope, hope, hope DH enjoys the cruise. He is always so busy with work - this is the first time he's ever asked to take a trip together - usually its me who makes the initial suggestion of where to go and he goes along with it.

A few years ago I saw Mama Mia and I really enjoyed it. I took my mom for mothers day and she liked it as well. Its funny I had Les Mis in my top 3 and then took it out for Hairspray. I think its because that was such a great weekend - it was my first time staying overnight in NYC (we live about 90 minutes away so we never stay the night) and I heard about Hairspray opening and bought tickets for opening week - of course then it took off and seats were hard to get.

I've never seen the Scarlett Pimpernel or J & H - but agree I think I'm going to take the kids to see Mary Poppins - and Tarzans been getting good reviews as well. You are right, so many shows, so little time.

I know Flo's son is into theater - what are his choices (and yours, Flo)? Anyone else????? I guess I have to remember its early am in the west....

I'm just a little rammy today - dd came down with the flu last night and I've been up and down all night with her. She gets so hot and sweaty and then cold and shivery - having her quietly watch sponge bob is a relief as at least shes comfortable right now.

:dance3: Happy day to all.

Lisa

Lisa -- I'm sorry to hear she is sick. Tamiflu worked wonders for Andrew when he came down with the flu before we could get him the flu shot last year. I hope she feels better soon!

When Randy and I were in NY last September, we saw Wicked and loved it. We also saw Fiddler, and I must say it does not rank as one of my favorites. I think my all-time fav is Annie. It was the first musical I saw. I also liked Lion King and Phantom. I haven't seen all that many others, although we get decent shows in Dallas from time to time.

Hope she is going to be feeling better soon. Do you think it is a 24 hour bug? Remember that you need to get rest too! Also, wash your hands and take your vitamins! My two cents for the day!

Okay Flo...you need to pipe in here on your theater choices!!!! How about Marci, Jen, and Valerie????

Lisa, you guys are going to love sailing at the holidays! I wish we could again. We did last year and it was wonderful. Now with high school sports...that option is out for a bit of time. Probably the next nine years or so! Then there is college! Who knows!

Have a great day!

Well...I love Phantom and Les Mis. Both Dan and I are musicians (he plays trumpet, I play oboe) so we are always listening to the music. Unfortunately sometimes we listen to hard and if the musicians make a mistake we hear it! Nicholas is really picking up the music. We listen to the POTC movie soundtracks everyday on the way to school. Both boys know it by heart. Nicholas is so into it that he was drinking hot chocolate the other day in the car and he said, "Could you turn that off so I can drink my hot chocolate."!! What a goof ball.

Bad news???....the cocroach died. He was soooooo sad. I guess he was picking it up like a guy in a book and he did something to his leg. And to top that off we had to take his gecko to the vet and we spent $80!! Ugh!

Today is a good day. My student didn't cry and throw a huge tantrum in my class! That has been happening on a daily basis and making me crazy!

That's all for now. Oh, my mom is doing great and helping us all the time with picking up, cooking dinner, etc. I am so lucky.

I'm so sorry the cockroach died. Is he going to get another one?

That is wonderful news about your problem student, and even better news about your mom. I know you must be relieved.

I hope today is another good day!

Good moning everyone. Thanks for the kind words for dd. She's better than she was today - but still not ready to go back to school. Its been along time since one of the kids was sick for so long. Usually they get a 24 hr thing.

Valerie -I'm sorry to hear about your son's cockroach AND the vet bill on top. Sigh... It never ends does it? :rotfl: You must be happy about your student and you mom as well. Hopefully you can feel some of the weight of the world lifting a little.

Marci - if you go to NYC this year and want to see Annie - let me know - I have one of those discount tix offers for Annie - but I think its only for December. Are you a Cowboys fan? The big talk here all week has been the game of Sunday (we are just outside Philly so of course the Eagles dominate most conversations this time of year).

Tif - Did you sail over New Years? I'm just wondering what to expect. I think the boat will still be decorated - but don't know about weather, special events etc - you should have seen me trying to make ressies - Mark said I looked like a war room strategist with all my papers and possibilities! :rotfl2:

Flo, Jen, Helen, Carla and everyone else - Hope all is well.

Have a good day
Lisa

Hi, Lisa. Thanks for the ticket offer. It looks like it will be some time next year before we get back to NY. Too much going on right now to take an adult trip, but with all the drama in our lives now I'm hoping we can do something by Spring. We so need some time together.

I am a Cowboy fan, although we don't go to the games. Mom and Dad are too, so we usually end up watching them in her room at the hospital. I am SOOOOOOO sick of T.O. The man needs to perform (on the field, that is!) or get out of town!

More PD being sent to your daughter. :wizard:

Have a good day everyone!

Morning all!

Lisa, sorry about all the trama with pets! No fun! What great fun to be sailing on New Years! We were saying that someday that would be a whole lot of fun!!!! From what we remember, the ship was still decorated when we disembarked on New Year's Eve. They had added silver and gold balloon arches above Lumiere's doorway, pillars outside of Studio Sea, etc.! The Christmas cruise we got a little towel angel on the bed. A box of chocolates. And a Don "Ducky" Williams lithograph! I think there were a few other things as well. It was just such an extraordinary week! Good luck!

Valerie, As to Broadway music, I really do reccomend getting the CD for the Scarlett Pimpernel and Jekyll and Hyde! Both are really outstanding.
I know what you mean about the soundtrack for Pirates!! It is the number one instrumental CD in history...according to one of the Behind the Scenes speakers that Tom saw on our solo trip! I listen to it almost everyday too! The PGA used it for the lead ins on tournament coverage!!!

Marci, I know what you mean about needing to get away together. Even if life is way too busy, what if you spent a night at a local hotel and went to dinner or maybe just order in!!! That way you would still be close to home if someone needed you!

Well, I have really rambled!

Hello gang!!

Just got an email from a friend up in the Vista Spa. He asked if I had heard anything about the two new ships???? That the official word would be coming out soon!!!! :cool1: Quick...everybody send pixie dust to the Disney higher ups to have them make the announcement!!!!

Yes! Yes! I heard that the POTC III premiere in May was going to be in Long Beach so that they could announce the new ship (s). Yeah! West Coast! Now you guys can come sail on my coast and come visit me!!

Tif - Tell me more about the soundtrack and the history. I told Nicholas and he wasn't surprised but we want to no more!!

Valerie

Hi all,

Firstly Tif , 2 ships would be great, especially if they leave one in the med for me ;) :goodvibes

Hope everyone is ok - don't know about you guys but its just been manic here - Dave has been away loads so its just been me and the dogs!

Weather wise considering its October (where has this year gone?) its not too bad. Hopefully we will have a mild winter as we are going away in the motorhome for christmas. Its the first year we've done it -Dave and I said we just want to get away to the peace & Quiet of the country. I think we were having a thelma & Louise moment.

I love going to the theatre, my fave musicals are mmmmm difficult I guess, West Side Story, Phantom of opera, Chicargo. ( Ive never heard of Wicked :confused3 )

Now when it comes to films - I love Pretty in Pink, The breakfast club Desperatly Seeking Susan, The Lost boys (Very 80's choices) although POTC and HArry Potter are brilliant too. :thumbsup2

Oh well I'd better get going- take care all
Helen xx :goodvibes

Good Morning!!!

When we were on in September, Karine in Merchandise had told us that they wouldn't build just one ship...not cost effective. Makes sense. But then Daniel from the spa emailed yesterday asking if I had heard the "almost official" announcement. The way he said it, it made me wonder if they are not going to wait for the premiere. As to location of the ships I have not heard. Of course rumors there run rampant as well! So, I guess we wait and see!

I will check with Tom to find out about what the speaker said regarding the number one instrumental in history! He had all kinds of cool info. We have been lucky and seen some great speakers over the years. That is one thing that I would recommend going to if they have any when you go for New Year's!

Helen...Wicked is the story of what happened in OZ before Dorothy dropped in! You can get the book...by MacGuire. A little racy and dark. The music and the show are better in my opinion than the book. But it is a good read. You can order both book and music through Barnes and Noble...or Amazon.

:sunny: Ok my favorate musical is Fidler. Years age we went to see it with DH boss. He bought us orchastra seats. It was great. THey were right in fort of us. I could never affod it. We saw Zerro as Tevia. I will see how WIcked fits in.

I will ask Steven what his favorates are. I don't here from him uch. WIth baseball and studies he is busy.

I have been bad lately with not getting on the board’s we have been so busy at work. We just bought a company, and since I am in billing and receiving I have to put the product in. We got 40 % of there inventory in are warehouse. Besides that I have to do the normal things.
Also, we are going by my son this weekend. I am soooo excited. I have not seen him since Labor Day. He has a baseball game. It is going to be cold, but I love baseball. SO all the tings that he did not take I am getting together to bring there. I also made 30 goodie bags for my boys as I call them (the baseball team). They are a wonderful bunch of young men.
SO I hope all is well with everyone.
Take care.
Flo

Flo - Enjoy your son's baseball game. They are so fun to watch. I can't imagine what college must be like. We're still in little league. Nolan is starting pitcher this week. (He is named after Nolan Ryan!!!)
I wanted to thank you Flo for the pirate necklace in our goodie bags. I am not kidding - Nicholas wears it EVERY day!! He's even wearing it in his school picture! Great choice.

Okay, I'm signing off, hopefully my boo icon will work!

Valerie, I am glad he is enjoying th neclace. If he needs a new one because it breakes let me know , I think I still have a few in the basement. I would be more then happy to send him.
You are right college ball is a whole different ball game for the kids and the parents. I find the parents to be more fun. By us in little league if your sone was not playing the parents were not happy and were talking about it. Even high school. But here I find the parents just enjoy the game. As fare as this bunch of kids they get along were well.

now i have to get dressed for work.
