Helen, I would be upset with Danny to. I have called home every day from work if my son is not working. I ask did they come and he go I did not get the mail or look and I tell him what are you waiting for go look. But no luck. He can't wait to go either. It has been a bussy summer for him. With going to school and working he needs a break. When are you going to the travel agent to get them? I would probibly be wating out side the door when they open.

Have to tell you all what my husband did. He called Shirley and ordered baskets for me and my son. That is all I know he will not tell me what is in them. I still have to call and order his. I better call only three weeks away.

I have pirates running around my house!!!!


My DH just came in with lunch for the boys -- McDonald's-- and the toy in their happy meal is a pirate bandanna.

We're off soon to Andrew's indoor soccer game. Since it's going to be almost 100 today, I'm thankful for the a/c!

Tif -- congrats on 400!

Helen -- I think he should let your amnesty be over now since he forgot to tell you about the tickets!

Anyone started packing, yet? Not "stacking" stuff for your cruise, but actually putting it in the suitcases?

(You know, as the cruise get closer, I seem to be spending way too much time on the DIS! I think my house needs to be vaccumed!)

I had to laugh when I read your post saying did any one start to pack yet and not stack. I just started to stack! I have clothes that I bought just for the cruise. They are on top of the suitcase, what does that count as.

I look at it this way if I don't spend time on the DIS I will drive my DH and DS nuts with information.

I have forgiven Dave , I suppose he has had a lot on with work, and I guess he could have honestly forgotten about the tickets. Anyway I'll go Monday morning to collect them .

In one of our spare rooms I have all the new clothes and stuff ready to pack!
I got Dave a great shirt today which he can wear for pirate/tropical night. It is lime green with an embrioded palm tree on one side.

oh well i'm off to bed

Guess I know what i'll be dreaming about!

Look at me It's only been a couple of hours, but I'm back on the DIS! I walk by and the computer seems to be calling me!

I just returned from Circuit City - I purchased a new digital camera. I've been reading camera reviews for a couple of months now, and I guess I've waited till the last minute. I only have 3 weeks to learn how to use it.

DD8 did well at Championship swim Meet this morning. She placed 4th & 2nd, and will go on to the State meet in 2 weeks! DD12 swims tomorrow.

Congrats on the camera. I have a Milnota Maxium D5 and my husband has the Cannon RebelXT. What did you buy. I bought mine during the summer and I still do not know everyting about it.

We just back from watching Pirates and the kids said it was great I haven't told them about the Flying Dutchman at CC....I can't wait to see their faces when they see it LOL...on the other hand...they may not want to go in the water thinking about Davey Jones and his crew

We have a lazy weekend ahead of us so I'm gonna jump start the packing.

No documents for us today...hopefully monday.

No docs here yet. As to packing, I have a section set up in my closet with things that fit that are specifically cruise! I have a section set up in Tom's. And of course I have my list for all three kids! Thank God I don't pack for Libby...our lab for those that don't know!

Abby just came down. She is sad. Her friends from back home haven't been calling. Her best friend, that was here last week, was short on the phone with her...and more interested in the TV . I tried telling her not to dwell too much on it. That sometimes everybody just needs a break. That the others are probably on their family vacations. She left the room, after hug and kiss, with shoulders still slumped. It is so much harder watching your babies go through the heartaches of their teen years. The young man she has been "going with" hasn't called either. He isn't the type though. I keep telling her that it is probably family, and he's busy, and that they have such a strong friendship the need for hte calls can wait. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated gang!

Hi Tif - I remember the heartache when I felt "left out" as a teen. As a parent it is so tough to see your child hurting. You just want them to be little again so you can put a band-aid on it and make it go away! Some pixie dust and smiles for your DD...

Jen - How was the movie for your younger kids? Tif said their family loved it. I have DD8, who is dying to see it! She loves the original POTC, and also all the Star Wars movies. I'm keeping the Flying Dutchman a secret from my kids, too!

Flo - the Camera's nothing too fancy, I bought a Casio Exilim with a huge 2.7 inch screen. User reviews from various sites sold me on it... I bought a lot of memory, too. My last cruise, I didn't even take a photo of our stateroom, so this time I'm gonna try to do better! (ps - if your clothes are just on "top" of the suitcase, that's gotta be called a "pack'n stack" )

Helen - I need to find a new tropical shirt for DH, too. Lime Green - I love it - does Dave know that's the DIS color?

Had to give extra kudos too! Hard to believe that we are closing in on two weeks!!!! Okay gang...you inspired me. I have put Tom's t-shirts, socks, and unders into a suitcase. So we can claim that our group is officially packing!
We were out looking for new golf shoes for Abby...and they are soooo cute ! Anyway, as we were looking at NIKE there was a darling LIME green tee with the most wonderful cotton! I loved it! Well, I thought I would get Tom into the whole Dis concept. The design on it was and Ace in a deck of cards in royal blue with a lot of scroll work. In the center, very subtle was a golf bag with the Tiger Woods logo. It was PERFECT...until the kids pointed out that there was glitter in the outer trim of the card! Not cool for Dad! AU WEIA! I was surprised it was in the men's section after that. I am debating about going back and getting it for me to wear over my swimsuit!!! Hide as much as possible!!!! Woohoo!!! We are close!!!
