Thank goodness I found this thread, I thought I was going crazy!
I'm just outside of metro Detroit area too, felt a small shaking under my feet while sitting at my desk. I was thinking "am I dizzy? Is there something wrong with me? Is this what an earthquake feels like?"
Great.... I just started a thread the other day about the increase (seemingly, at least) in earthquakes and how it makes me freak out that the Earth is going to shake right off its axis. This one is too close to home for me. I have to go put my Chicken Little suit on .......
Telephone repairman was just here a little while ago - I had problems with my phone last night and today - and I asked him where he was when the earthquake rumbled through.. He said he was up on a pole and it scared the living daylights out of him.. He said at first he thought he was having a seizure or a stroke!
It's so strange because when you live in an area where it's not common, you really do conjure up all kinds of things in your mind as to what is going on.. LOL..
I felt it in Rome, NY. It sounded like something was "thudding" against one side of the house felt and I could feel the vibration. My dog ran to my side maybe a split second before I felt it.
