Any one else just have an earthquake?

I'm just outside of Detroit and supposedly people here felt it, but I didn't.

54th floor of one of the tallest towers in downtown T.O. and we felt it - building was shaking - kinda scary in retrospect. We are a bit on edge because the G20 is gearing up a block over from us. We do get rumbles from the subway so some thought it was that. Definately out of the ordinary for us in Toronto!!:scared1:

It is always interesting to me how other parts of the country react to an earthquake. My friend in nj gets on the computer over every little rumble either there or here in CA. A 5.5 and I wouldn't even of batted an eye or moved. Lived in CA 36 years both in So Cal and the bay area and have felt qute a few of them and have never been afraid of it. Ok well maybe 2 times it has shaken me enough to get up and go whoa but really i don't get freaked out by them.

Well for me, its because I've never experienced an earthquake, so I don't really know how bad a 5.5 really is or what it even feels like. I will say though, that without looking it up, 5.5 is probably one of the largest I've heard about in a very very very long time for anywhere on the east coast.

After watching the live video though, yes, its weaker than I was thinking.

I'm in Cleveland and did not feel it but a friend who lives two blocks away did.

You are probably laughing at us north easterns reaction to an earthquake, the same way we laugh at the way everything south of Pennsylvania closing up when there is an inch of snow!!!:rotfl2:

I was driving and didn't notice it at all. Came home, got on FB and everyone mentioned the earthquake... I'm so disappointed I missed it all!

I had just dropped my Mom off at the airport (ROC) and she felt it!

Love how it's big news, cracks me up, but it was pretty major for this area!

My Dson-in-law - and the secretary - were the only ones in the office that actually felt it.. When they mentioned it to the VP, he said they were "nuts".. Very shortly after that it scrolled across the VP's computer screen and he ended up having to eat crow..:rotfl:

Strange, people say that it was felt in NYC. I didn't feel anything. That's quite a distance.

I was thinking the same thing. Me feeling an earthquake for the first time IS going to get a little reaction from me. Even if it was just enough to make my shivel chair sway for about 15 seconds.
