Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

Is there a list of resorts being tested for October? We're staying at SSR 10/27-11/3 and would love to try this new system out :)

I'm sure someone will post the link, but I don't think SSR is included in this round.

I heard that you'll be able to make FP+ resies but that they'll expire when your resie at the testing resort expires. So, if you book POP for just 10/18 and make FP+ all through 10/29, they will not be good after 10/19 and will disappear...from what I heard.

There have been multiple reports on here lately (on my phone so I can't find a link) that this is not the case. People have even reported that their magic band works as a key at their new, non-testing resort and that they can still use their Fp+ selections.

Do you have any dining reservations at 6 or 7 that night? I'm not sure if this is the case, but I found that if I had a dining reservation, it blocked out the next 2 hours for fp+. Even the culinary demonstrations for f&w blocked me out 2 hours. I was able to cancel a dining reservation (plaza at 315pm), book a fp+ for 4-5 and then go back and add back the plaza. Obviously this won't work for hard to get/popular reservations. A bit frustrating, since dining reservations rarely take 2 hours. And for the most part in the future, dining will be booked at 180 days while fp+ won't be booked until 60. I guess we'll have to see.

I'd be interested if others were able to book their fp+ with dining reservations and not experience the 2 hour block. It was quite possibly a fluke on my account, as the only 1 I was comfortable testing was the plaza. Not willing to let a BOG go to see if more fp+ times were available during the 2 hours which were unavailable to me.

I had a 205 ADR for sci fi and was able to book a TSM fp+ for 3:00-4:00

Has anyone in the October arrival period been able to book Fantasmic or the MK Fireworks on a weekday via FP+?

Also, has anyone gotten more then 3 FP+ options for the MK like some of the earlier testers did?

I made my FP+ reservations last week but haven't gone back into the system for fear that I will loose my FP+ times or I will spend hours changing things around because I change my mind. :)

Actually one of my complaints was that I kept getting FP+ times that would hit at the same time as my ADR. As in both would be 3pm. This happend in at at least one choice for every dining adr I have.

I'm gonna try it. Can always cancel if it doesn't work.
I'm at BWV 10/18-29 and looks like no hope for testing there in that time frame.

So I booked at Pop for one night, 10/17 and it worked like a charm. I was immediately able to customize Magic Bands and book FP+ through 10/29.

So you have your ADRs linked in MDE and the FP+ automagically scheduled at the exact time as the ADR?

Did you try changing the time? I choose one FP+ interfering with my lunch, later I changed the time to another time very easily. I used the web page to do the time change, but then I tried the iPhone app and worked fine as well.

Did the same thing for us. Usually it was in 2 of our choices (we do lunch ADRs so maybe that is why it hit 2). They would have a warning on it that stated it conflicted with the ADR- so if it knew it conflicted, why on earth did it put it there!!!

We also found that to get that one moved to a good time with the others, I often had to move the others around first to get everything rearranged. Otherwise, I wasn't getting the times I wanted to come up at options. It was pretty annoying!

I was able to work around it for the most part. But if I couldn't I would just go back to the FP selection page and then return to the times choices. Usually I would get a whole new set of choices for me to pick from.

At least you got the warning. I only got the warning on one. I ended up with my Disney Binder open to the reservations for reference. But I wondered that too.

My 2nd set of MB's will be here this morning! The 3rd set will ship the end of the week. Still not sure how a 3 resort split stay with 3 different sets of MB's will work, but I'm ready to try it out!

That's a pain! I can't find the thread but I could have sworn someone had complained of the opposite problem at one point - MDE not allowing them to schedule a FP+ because of an ADR. Curiouser and curiouser....

Have a great trip!

Just customized our MBs and booked our Epcot FP+ for our very short (one night at YC) trip first weekend of October for F&WF! Curious to see if we can use the MBs at all the food kiosks. Can't wait!

MagicBands can be used for room charging during a resort stay. The F&W kiosks will have Touch to Pay terminals that can read the RFID chip in MagicBands and KTTW cards.

I was wondering about that. I had heard a tip about buying a F&W gift card so that you wouldn't have to dig cash out of your wallet or purse. I was thinking I'd just use my room key to do that but now that we'll have the bands I can use that.

We received our magic bands today for our Oct 1-8 stay. One night at Pop then package at POR. I did not open the boxes yet. My 11 year old will be so excited when he gets home from school!

I will post pics later today.
