Any NRV Virginia area residents around?

I know I have seen several fellow DIS campers from Virginia on this board. Are there any NRV Virginia area residents with middle school or high school age kids out there? I have a job possibility in Blacksburg and we may be relocating to the area. What are your opinions of the schools in the area? So far I have heard that the Blacksburg schools are the best in the area. Any other opinions out there? I would also like to hear from families that have kids in band and choir programs in the area schools. Both of my girls are into band and choir so those programs are pretty important to us. Thanks in advance for any information you can supply.

Greetings from Blacksburg! We love it here. It is the first place we've lived in a long time that has felt like home! The schools here are wonderful! There are also many opportunities for chorus, both in school and community wide. It is probably the same with band. What sort of job are you looking at? One with VT? PM me and we'll chat.
