Any news on how Poly sales are faring?

Dues are based on when you buy…so if you buy say Janauru 15th, you pay 2025 dues for 11 1/2 months…if you buy in late June, you pay 6 months.

The points you get plays no role.
Thanks.

For us, we wouldn’t add on before Feb 10th. September UY, don’t need the points for a reservation anytime before Dec 2025. Figure might as well save 1.3 months of dues. We could start the contract before and then close after Feb 11 (just in case better incentives despite the price increase).

Not adding on for sure, just thinking things through. Need to see RIV and Island Tower first.

Where dues are concerned, the big difference comes in the closer you buy right before your UY. For somebody with a Feb UY, the difference between buying in Jan or Feb is only one month extra of dues for Jan but they’d also be getting a whole nother year of points.

Say a buyer with Feb UY was interested in doing Magical Beginnings with RIV to get the $3k rebate on 150pts. If they bought in Jan they could sell back 2024’s points, and it would just cost them one month of dues. If they waited until Feb to buy, they’d only be able to sell back 2025’s points and still have to pay 12 months of dues against it. Timing can matter.

Yes dues are prorated, but what you’re receiving in return can differ.

Well the threat of the base price increase in Feb worked on us. We knew we were going to want more points eventually so may as well grab a bit more before it goes up. I didn’t think we’d actually use the delayed closing for anything but it was worth it (which would have ended today!). We were able to adjust our initial small contract of 75pts to an additional 75pt contract today
:cool1:

Being on Disney property during an incentive change, even a weak one is dangerous for the wallet😅

Congrats! I think you'll be much happier with 150 Poly points vs. 75.
I succumbed and added on an additional small RIV contract (under the Fall incentives)

Thanks and congrats to you! We actually have a 100pt resale at Poly from last year but we knew we’d need more since it’s the family favorite. I’m also glad we got the extra 75;)

And I want more RIV, too, but I’m holding out until the last push before it sells out! Probably wishful thinking that we’ll get a fire sale but I’m gonna keeping hoping lol

We were the same. We had purchased 90 points with a delayed closing and when the new incentives came out it was around $2000 to add those extra 10 points and I am so glad we did.
