I know there was some talk about a better character meal geared more towards the boys, any news on that front???

Nothing I've seen or heard for fact on any of the Boards. You may want to do a search on the rumors board to see if there's any information from a past thread floating out there.
I know your son would enjoy any number of character meals--Chef Mickey is the main characters of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. At AK Donald Duck and company are on hand. Even at the Castle, during Cinderella's meal he will be made to feel like a "prince". Crystal Palace has Pooh and his entourage. Get on allearsnet.com and look at the menu for character meals. You can shop around and try to find one he'd like. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Nothing at Disney but there is stuff over at Universal like Spider-man and Cat in the Hat if you are willing to make the trek...

I did a search on Boys character meals and found this thread:Character Meals for Boys. The last post was from May saying that Disney is considering it and there might possibly be one by July. I personally think that would be a nice option since DS loves Buzz, Woody, Mr. Incredible, etc. (yes - he's only two, but I mean it when I say he loves them! :)

Sign me up. I would go in a heartbeak.

Also, love the villians, too!

Yes!! I hope they do this soon!! DS7 would love to see the Incredibles, Frozone, Buzz & Woody, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Mr Smee - good guys , bad guys, as long as they were guys!!!! He's really good about sitting through the princess stuff for DD4, so it'd be so great to have a character meal for him too! Thanks for the info - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.... :cool1:

Oh Man! We would be all over this one!!!! My 4 year old would freak if he ate breakfast with Dash!!!! Only thing better for him would be Thomas the Tank Engine. He keeps asking why we won't see Thomas at Disney. What he doesn't know is he'll be seeing Thomas in October for the 60th anniversary Day Out With Thomas, here in Texas. :cool1:

My 6 year old would be happy with any of them!

Our boys would LOVE a meal with Buzz & Woody, and the Incredibles! Some pirates would be good too...

Sign us up, too! My son loves Buzz, Woody and the Incredibles! Boys need to be catered to just like the girls. I bet Disney could sell out a boy's character breakfast almost as fast as a princess breakfast.

I think my DD would like a meal with Buzz and Woody just as much as a princess but I know my DS could careless to see the princesses. I hope they come up with something for October.

I was at TDS today and was talking to the CM about our recent Mother's Day trip to WDW. Anyway, the CM asked if we did the Hero's brunch for Moms and Kids at EPCOT. I said that b/c the trip was so spur-of-the-moment and not planned out whatsoever, I didn't know there was such a thing. He told me that they were testing it out to see how it went b/c they're thinking of doing a Heros meal for the boys. I think it's about time, personally, as I asked about a boys character meal a year ago (at least) on these boards!

So, if things went well and the Hero brunch was a hit, they might make it permanent. The CM said they hadn't heard anything yet ... but stated that since the princess brunch is in WS Norway and the Mother's Day Hero brunch was near Morocco, it looks like it'd stay near Morocco.

I just checked out the link that someone posted above and, sure enough, it looks like there's accuracy in the statement that the Mother's Day brunch was a test run for a future boys character meal!

How exciting. I hope they have it in time for my son's birthday celebration this October!

As a mom of 2 boys, we've been hoping for something like this too. My sons ADORE Peter Pan and Aladdin. My oldest thought it was really cool to get to meet Prince Charming at MNSSHP last year so he would be happy to meet the princes as well. :) Like all boys they are Buzz and Woody fans but I know those characters really can't do a meal. My boys would even be happy to have a "mixed" meal. Wendy Darling and Jasmine are both "cool" because they are in a "boy movie." :)

My kids would love to see Peter Pan, Wendy, Hook, Smee, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Jafar, Herculese, Merline (my bous LOVE the Sword in the Stone movie), the Incredibles, Lion King and Jungle Book characters.

When we were last at Disney we spoke to several CM's about this and seemed to get the same response. Since most of the "boy" characters are from Pixar they need to get licensing from them. I'm not sure why this is different from the characters images being used in the parks but that is what we were told.

That would be GREAT!!! How do we find out when it would be starting?

I wanna stay posted on this one too! My boys (7 and 3) would not be thrilled at hanging out with a bunch of princesses - but villains and heroes, that's more their style! :)

We did the hero's brunch during Mother's Day weekend at Epcot. They had Peter Pan, Beast, Prince Charming, Prince Eric and some others. It was nice to have boy characters. No Pixar characters were present. They could do a boy breakfast just using heros.
