YES!!!!! i love the show!!! first season comes out on dvd here in the states on April 20th, and they're airing season 2 next month on SciFi!

I'm happy SyFy picked it up, NBC just killed it in that timeslot.

I watch it too! I love the show, and I'm glad that SyFy is picking it up. I wouldn't have known that though, if I hadn't been watching something else on SyFy and saw the ad for it.

Great show! I didn't think I was going to like it at first (Merlin and Arthur "growing up" together? Guinevere being Morgana's servant? I don't remember this stuff from the Once and Future King!) but it totally grew on me. I love that they aren't all aesthetically perfect, like a lot of US actors are. They have character!

I hope SyFy (why did they change the name by the way? what was wrong with SciFi ) shows season 3 too when it starts in september, kind of like BBCA does with Dr. Who, so we don't have to wait too long.

I didn't think I would like it either, so untraditional! Uther hates magic, Arthur and Morgana aren't related, Uther didin't seduce Irgaine- I thought what kind of version is this
But after the first episode, in which I kept wanting to call Gaius Merlin, I was hooked and I actually liked the way they played with the legend, it works.

i was ok with it on Sundays but i guess a lot of people didn't watch it.

You're probably right. It's just nice to watch in on a TV vs. a computer screen, but since I must know what happens, lol, I'll be watching online too.

I love it! I've watched all the season two episodes. They are on YouTube. It is a little difficult finding them because they are in pieces, but it is possible. Some really good things coming up for season 2!

March 28th is when they're going to start re-airing season 1 on SciFi, and season 2 starts April 2nd

You're probably right. It's just nice to watch in on a TV vs. a computer screen, but since I must know what happens, lol, I'll be watching online too.

i definatly agree. i'd rather see it on my tv than my computer.

i just find it odd that it's NOT airing on BBC America, you know? they air Doctor Who and they aired Robin Hood when it was on, but Merlin was on NBC and now SciFi

I know, right? I don't get why it's not on BBCA either. Maybe they're trying to get it to appeal to a wider audience

yeah but Doctor Who definatly appeals to a wide audience, as does Robin Hood.

not that i'm complaining, as long as i get to see it i'm happy!

Yay! I love this show, too!

I have seen through Series 2, but that's just because I was impatient and watched it online. I hadn't heard that it was going to be on SyFy, but that's exciting! I don't get BBCA, so it's nice that they're putting it on a channel I do have.

As a PP pointed out, one of the things that I love about this show (and other British fantasy/dramas) is the way that the actors aren't all gorgeous and flawless. I know some people bash the show because Gwen isn't a beauty, but I think that makes her character more charming!

I saw the commercial for it coming to SyFy tonight and I got so excited! I had to run and tell my DD as soon as she got home, LOL...can't wait for April 2nd!
