Any Merlin(BBC) fans out there?

As a PP pointed out, one of the things that I love about this show (and other British fantasy/dramas) is the way that the actors aren't all gorgeous and flawless. I know some people bash the show because Gwen isn't a beauty, but I think that makes her character more charming!

I agree, it's nice to see people who aren't perfect looking for a change, one of the things I love about British TV. Although, the Merlin cast is pretty gorgeous, Lancelot , with the exception of Gwen, who really isn't unattractive. I like that they made Arthur fall in love with her for who she is (although I'm not sure they were clear on why he fell in love with her, but whatever) instead of some pretty princess his father picked for him.

Does anyone else think that the girl who plays Morgana (who DH calls "poor man's Keira Knightly) couldn't act her way out of a paper bag?

but yeah they kind of rushed the Arthyr/Gwen storyline a bit, i didn't really like that. it's like they hung out for one day and all of a sudden "omg we're INLOVE!" it's kind of hard to believe

ugh i can't stand her, either! thank GOD i'm not the only one because everyone else seems to love her, but i can't take her seriously.

she's got what i call the Lana Lang-syndrome. when you're so bad at acting that i can TELL you're acting, i can't take you seriously. even if the show itself is crap, if the actors are into it at least i can enjoy it. but once Morgana is on the screen i'm constantly rolling my eyes.

yeah she's "inlove" with Arthur yet she's "never felt this way before" about Lancelot....idk what is happening with that.

lol i know, it was nice not having to deal with her for half of the second season. but i heard it was because she's doing some movie, that's why she wasn't in a lot of the second season.

In the "Cure for all Ills" episode when she was supposed to be sleeping. You could actually see her pretend to sleep!

lol i was JUST having this conversation on another message board. i had thought he was the court physician, not a servant, so idk why they'd go making him a "free man" when he already was one..
