Does anyone have any discount codes or promo codes they don't need. We are going to PA 12/26 to 12/30 to see DMIL who is recovering from cancer. She is currently in rehab and we hope she will be home next week. We always stay with the inlaws, but with 4 of us DH and I think it may be too much to stay with them so soon.

We were looking at the Courtyard in Wayne, Pa. Has anyone stayed here? Are there any others in the area you would recommend?

Thanks and have a great night!

I suggest going to www.flyertalk.com Go to miles and points, then hotel forums, then to Marriott. If there is a code those folks will know about it and will be able to tell you about any Marriotts in that area.

Learn somehthing every day on the DIS. That flyertalk website is interesting.

It is a wealth of information. I have learned of so many deals on that site.

If you do a search on "Marriott" on eBay (go advanced and look in the category "gift certificates" you will generally find many "bonus buck" coupons. There are a few type, but the two most common are the $100 certificates wich are good at the major hotels (Marriot, JW Marriott & Renaissance) and the $50 which are good at the minor ones(Courtyard, Fairfield, Residence, Town Place, SpringHill).

You are allowed to use one certificate per two night stay. If you are staying four nights you can use two coupons.

Last month I bought a $50 coupon for $17.51 (including shipping) which I used over Thanksgiving and a $100 coupon for $32.17 which I will be using in a couple of weeks.

Just read the listings carefully and also review the seller's feedback.

Cheshire Figment beat me to it. Definitely grab Bonus Bucks on ebay. I've done that a bunch of times. In fact, we're doing a get-away trip next weekend and using a $50 cert. at a Fairfield Inn for 2 nites. You should be able to find a Buy It Now auction so you can have them in plenty of time. FYI - The certs. say you have to make your reservation by calling the number on the form, but I've never done that and they have always accepted the Bonus Bucks.

By the way, many of the auctions are actually for something else, even a plain envelope, with the seller throwing in a "free" Bonus Bucks coupon. The reason they do this is because it is against the rules to sell the coupons.

Oh, no need to do an advanced search. Just do a regular search for "Marriott Bonus Bucks" and you'll find them.

I can't believe the idiotic things that I've been doing with my Marriott points lately. I tranferred 100K Amex points to 5 platinum certs. that expire mid-February. We, for work reasons can't use them before they expire. I still have 4 or 6 of the rewards for $100 and $50 off Marriott stays but I had so many more that I never really looked at and threw them out yesterday. I'm usually so smart about these reward things but clearly not this week. Does anyone know if they will do anything about expiring plat. awards? I have never used ebay and don't think I'd try it. I'm probably stuck since the certificates were an AMEX transfer. Oh, well. Thanks. Threehearts

Well, we went with the Wyndham Resort in Valley Forge. It looks like a nice enough place and it was only $87 a night using a webrate.

Now all I have to do is look for free breakfast coupons. Anyone seen these on Ebay or know what they might be called :wave2:

Thanks for all the replies and have a great night!
