Any Luck - Adding One Experience MNSSHP

Hi - not looking to buy someone else's ticket or anything along those lines. Wanted to see if anyone had first-hand experience this year - being able to buy an additional ticket to a Sold Out MNSSHP either at the gate, at your resort or over the phone? I plan to try all 3 methods (LOL) - turns out I got my dh to come as my date to our Party Night (was just me and the kids) if I can get him a ticket. Thought I'd see what method may have worked for anyone. I understand they are sold out and I don't expect Disney to address my problem. However, if there is an option to get one for my dh, I'd love to add him to our night.

Looking to do something similar. We are short one party ticket for our date at the end of September and I told the family that I'll go to HHN over at Universal by myself if we can't get one. I'm perfectly fine either way - but would be happy to give Disney my money instead.

Not by calling ahead of time... so dh decided to skip this quick trip - so didn't test day of/at the gate.
