Any last minute instructions from the pros????

Ok everybody- it looks like we're gonna take the jump- and buy into BCV. I talked to my rep yesterday on the phone and she said that the Magical Beginnings had been changed to $10.00/point if you change in your 1st years points. We're gonna buy 200 pts- so that'll be $2000.00 into our down payment !! Well, that's all I was waiting for! So now for my question........ are there any last minute things I need to ask or be clear on before we actually start the paper work? Was there anything you forgot to get an answer on that you wish you had? I already know that I forgot to ask her what the maintanance fees would be! Can you believe that??? Well, hopefully someone here can answer that for me!

Check what use year MONTH your getting. Being you giving back points it may help if you get a sooner use year, then later.

BCV Maintenance fees for 2003 are $3.97.

We purchased in same manner as you, giving up points so we could reduce DP. Really, we looked at it this way, we were taking a big financial step so we really couldnt afford a trip at that instance anyway, so it worked well for us. We purchased in Jan. 02 with use yr being Aug. and didnt actually use pts. until Dec. 02.

Dont worry to much about not asking all the right questions up front. Some will come to mind that you can get answered here, while MS are very helpful also. DVC is a very stable, honest place to put your money. Believe me, you will learn a lot in a short time about how everything works.

Here is some advice from one rookie to another, dont let that 11 mos window slip by you. We were able to book for the general time of year we wanted but probably could have booked more specific had we booked at 11 mos instead of waiting to 10 mos. Why did we do that? Procrastination!!
