Looking for any feedback from lab sufferers-Does the flight trigger an attack? :worried:Are there any rides which particularly send you on a dizzy trip-I've accepted my teacup riding days are probably over :sad2:just wondering if theres anything else to watch out for, any tips you can give me? I'm suffering badly with my first attack at the moment and already panicking at the thought of my holiday and its still 9 months away:(

I get it alot but nothing on the flight of rides bother me, my ears pop but nothing more, it can be a bit painful in one ear that i had a burst ear drum years ago

Had that twice and its horrible I take those ear plugs for flying and they work great. Someone suggested a decongestant would be good too but I use travel sickness pills have not tried that option.

Thanks for your feedback-funnily enough I tried travel sickness tabs before some days in the park last time as I have found I can't do SM or ST twice in a row any more-maybe it was a precursor to lab. I've heard before that the flight ear plugs are good-if I'm truthful I am so scared of a 9 hour flight with the plane performing triple axels around me its taking all the pre-trip excitement away.
 to any Disers who suffer from labyrinthitis.

The pills I use really help me on the flight and I have used them if I feel symptomatic. The doc gave me anti sickness pills but they make me drowsy. I'm going to take it by the triple axel that you or family figure skate lol. But try and relax and focus on a movie on the way there you will be so excited and on the way back so tired that hopefully you will sleep. I find if I tune the inflight radio to the classical music it helps me drift off and drown out the flight noises.

Ride wise if you feel symptomatic avoid things like the tea cups and the spinning side of mission space and take it easy my first bought was on holiday in India/Dubai and the heat made it really hard so rest up when you need to.

About this time last year I started getting tingling in my face and was really worried, doctor said it could be due to ear infection, anyway flew to Houston in March and was fine. When I came back it got really bad and other symptoms probably caused by the stress of worrying about the tingling. I convinced myself I had MS! I then had a major vertigo attack and I mean major and felt constantly dizzy. This was about 6 weeks before we were due to fly to Florida for 3 weeks. Luckily have private health so was able to have MRI straight away and was told I had an inner ear infection which caused all my symptons. So relief it wasn't ms but the dizziness took about 7 weeks to go. So was really worried about getting on the plane. I made sure I told my insurance company just incase and I had to pay another £45. Plane didn't make it any worse and I think being on holiday actually made it go away quicker. I avoided the roller coasters (great excuse for not having to go on Rock N Roller and all those scary ones at Universal!) Anyway, touvh wood, it hasn't reoccurred but consultant said it may in the future but atleast I will know what it is.

rock and roller coaster - because of the barrel roll...
anything with a barrel type roll can be a problem..

that's the only one i can think of....
now that mission space has the wimpy side, i can ride it...
