The home room moms are planning an end of the year party for our 1st graders. The party will be in the classroom at the end of the day. Any game suggestions?

It's not a game exactly, but one of the favorite things of children at the end of the year party is to let them decorate or sign t-shirts. One year they all tie-dyed shirts, another they all just signed each others. First graders are so proud to sign their own name. You can ask each child to bring a white or light t-shirt and a sharpie, but have extra just in case.
GAmes are so hard at this party as the children are so excited and tend to get out of control so qickly. Crafts tend to work well, look at Oriental Express fo kits.

One game that kids that age like is Doggie, Doggie where's your bone. One child sits in a chair with his back to the group. Put a "bone" under the chair. Have one child to slip and get the bone and hid it in thier lap. The children then chant: Doggie Doggie where's your bone, sombody took it from your home. Guess who, it might be YOU!
The chair sitter tries to guess who has the bone.

Also fun is to bring the food into the fun. Make your own sundees are great fun. If it involves some real food, taco bars are really fun for young kids.

Best suggestion of all is to try to keep indoor time to a minimum. Get them outside!!
Also remember as you plan, you will have some younger siblings at the party too. It's hard not to have an cup cake or whatever you are serving for them.

Have FUN.
