Any idea when we can buy WDW annual passes?

Well this thread has really gone off the rails.

I am also one of those people who moved to Orlando and am not so patiently waiting for AP sales to begin again, and yes it does suck.

Could we please calm this thread down a bit with the fighting and get back to waiting for any news/rumors about the purchase of new Annual Passes?

Whenever I see a new post on this thread some little part of me gets excited that someone has heard news or a rumor, but nope, just more people fighting lately.

There is also another thread on the Theme Parks and Attractions Strategy board for people who are trying to get refunds and extend their passes if anyone wants to join in on that thread.

Buy the Universal Annual Pass.

If Disney is going to be mean, then we can speak with our wallet.

You could probably also buy a Sea World AP and that plus Universal would still be much cheaper than then the Non Inclusive Disney AP.

The Universal and Sea World concerts alone would probably be worth it and repeatable.

I haven't been to Seaworld yet, but their promotions and events kind of have a Knott's Berry Farm vibe. I should give it a try: Knott's was an incredible value if you were into live music.

A park that is really good is Busch Gardens Tampa. I liked that alot when I was down there in February.
And that's only 60 minutes away which is nothing.

This is not a good year to judge Universal Studios or DisneyWorld For entertainment value. I will say the first time I became a passholder at Universal, it was holidays before Covid...I felt with all the music and holiday lights and shows....they could easily create a version of the Osborne Spectacle of lights throughout the entire park. What a surprise for me . Universal has so many alleyways and off the path ways to get lost and explore... I had minimal expectations but now love the holidays at Universal more than Disney .I hope you get to know Universal as much as you know Disney. if you are new pass holders.
I think Universal is a “locals” park similar to Disneyland...

Im still trying to figure out the reason . Do you think Disney just wanted to control capacity and not sell pass holders in case you would not get your money’s worth out of it ? Currently I am local and renewed my pass but the value has changed... It is restricted to only 3 days at a time and with the parks filling up it feels like I can choose Epcot or Disney Springs . I’m not complaining and I totally understand the shock pricing for vacations... but the reality is very apparent when you see how empty the huge parking lots are... it makes me realize Disney might be having more of a financial struggle than we want to believe.
Currently Disney Springs parking structure is considered full and walking around feels crowded but hanging out at Disney Springs is not the answer. That is just an example of observing what is going on daily.
Don’t forget not all the resorts have opened for reservations either.

I don't expect them to start selling new APs until park capacity is lifted.

Which could be late 2021 or start of 2022. It’s not going to happen in the next two business quarters.

This is the thing though, as long as they keep the parks closed through capacity, people will spill over to Disney Springs and resort hopping. Disney Springs is a mess no matter when you go and would be a super spreader if there is such a thing. So as some one mentioned the capacity limits are all theater.

I am assuming once capacity limits are lifted they would want to bring at least out of state AP's back so that they can get a huge injection of cash/profit.

Seeing posts made in the past 48 hours by others that people have been getting call backs around the 28/29 day mark.

It seems recently others have been told the call will be in 4-6 weeks vs the "within the next 30 days" that earlier people were told.

That tells me demand is increasing.

So glad it seems life is inching more towards normal.

My daughter in law called around 3-15 or so, she got a call back a couple days ago.
They are happy to get their passes back, but now their child is 3 and they need 3 passes.
