First, I will be renting a car for the first time in WDW and my insurance company here at home says I just need to take my own insurance card and I don't need anything that the rental car company offers. Sound right to all of you?
Second and my main question: I have been trying to research trip insurance. I know I can get the DVC insurance for $89 per use year. I have heard that outside insurance such as insuremytrip.com doesn't deal with timeshares. I would have enough time if my trip had to be cancelled to bank the points --October use year--going in january--have until May to bank (from what I understand--this is my first DVC trip). So what exactly would the insurance cover? Airfare? Maintenance dues? Just not sure how this works. Anyone that could give me some insight would be appreciated. Anyone have to ever use the insurance? TIA!
